watch out PSB thread… A rolling compendium of integers: a guide to whole numbers. is getting ready to over take you

Had a great time at the Case/Lang/Viers show last night
what a great combination of voices/personalities
the sound in the Lincoln was on point

KD's voice was amazing, had never been a fan, but she won me over last night
Her cover of Helpless  was jawdropping
and the group cover of Patti's "people have the power" was solid with all three of them doing different verses

all their originals on this album are soo good and they delivered them perfectly
Veirs was no slouch either

and of course Neko knocked it out of the park with Man (and Hold on Hold on)
She goes up 2-3 points in the hot quotient every time she straps on that guitar

and she even told me she 'love"s me…

I've only seen her once, at the original 930 in 87. $4 a head and maybe a hundred attended. Great show!

ok that is hard to top.. game over. we have a winner.
great great GREAT Marah show last night at Jammin Java.. I noticed IMP mentioned it in their weekly letter but I don't think they promoted it.

Anyways… great rock and roll show… they were fabulous last year but even better this year…. they played about two and a half hours… two long sets… they jammed on tables, by the merch table.. you name it.. the first set featured a ton of Serge Bielanko on harmonica… the written set list seems to include only like half the songs they played.. more of a guide… (I snagged a beer stained set list) at times it definitely felt incredibly Springsteen-ish…the songs, the performance, the length, the joy…

I picked up the Kids in Philly LP they "reissued" (never issued on vinyl before so is it really a reissue?) late last year.. what a quality package….includes a cd with a lot of bonus tracks… which was a nice surprise since I thought they would be download only..it also comes with the download code.. a fold out poster…

They're playing a show near Philly and another in NYC… I hope they come back.. they hung out after the show as they usually do…I read they were total dicks in their brief 5 minutes of fame but unless they underwent a total transformation i dont' see it… I doubt i saw them back then even though Sidehatch tried to get me into them….its funny, now I go to the reunion shows year after year and Sidehatch doesn't.

the audience was a strange mix.. a lot of older people…quite a few looking worse for the wear.. i guess life does that to you… quite a few kids…

so, I was asked, twice even, to go to the Dylan show at wolftrap.  I love the trap, so it was disappointing that I could not go . . . twice, even.  I heard he played the same set both nights.  ugh, really?  anybody go to let me know how it was / what I missed?  I have never heard of the opener, but have been schooled into knowing that she is excellent, even.

He's been playing the same set for 2.5 years.
Forgot to mention.. the Obama 55th Birthday Party was pretty amazing.. Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder…. felt lucky to be there…
wow, even.
McCartney's show last night at Verizon was pretty fan-freakin'-tastic. Very happy that I had the chance to see him. Further proof that age does not dictate the quality and length of a show. Stunning that he was up there for 2 hours and 20 minutes for the main set. 2 hours 45 minutes total. Incredible.
but . . . was it, really him?

As opposed to a lookalike? Yup, pretty sure.

If you mean pre-recorded? Nope, the band was all live. Check out the pedigree of the musicians on the stage. A lot of chops on that stage.

I was incredibly impressed as well. It's hard to comprehend that a 74 year old guy can do this day in/day out.

Yeah, Def Leppard is doing the canned vocal thing. Check out the 2:20 mark. What's even the point?
no, sillies . . . I was referring to the fact, that some people believe that paul died in the late 60's and was replaced by a look a like and John tried to send out messages in the music and linear notes.  the, end.

I'm so bummed.. I wanted to check them out but I just can't see hiking to Nissan with the canned vocals.. I need to be excited to ever make it to big shows and I'm just not there cause of this issue… I'd be on the lawn anyways .. I can just put on the records at home…

I don't really fault them for doing it.. Joe's had some vocal issues recently and I guess they did not want to cancel the tour… BUT I just can't get into it…

I bet training for and running a marathon at that age is a lot harder.
What does running have to do with anything?
