Run The Jewels was one long, awesome show. Kool A.D. was pretty spotty though. Should have tried to get Das Racist instead. Don't they owe our area a show? From the start of eXquire to the final bars of "A Christmas Fucking Miracle" that room was electric.

Hey Yada, is my 2011 list still giving you a chuckle?

James, I still get a good chuckle out of your top 20 2011 list. It fits a middle aged white dude to a T!!
We saw the first two acts at the Rosslyn Jazz Fest on Saturday….the Kenny Rittenhouse Septet and Naomi Shelton and the Gospel Queens. Both very good.
My daughter remarked that "Black people sure do like concerts!"…more a reaction to the performers than the mixed crowd, I'm pretty sure.

How many of those are you still listening to?
;D ;D ;D
;D ;D ;D
On average, I listen to about two albums a day. And I probably listen to music from the last 80 years. Which doesn't leave room for me to listen to any album with any regularity. But I'd happily listen to any of them on that list.
That said, within the last year I've probably listened to all of 1-11 and two or three of the others.

My husband loved Savages last night. I am sad I could not be in two places at the same time!

i feel like we are always post show bantering about the same shows.
it was good. holy shit their drummer is good.
my only complaint, because i always have a complaint, is this a band with one album, bringing nothing new to the scene, and having very little connection with their crowd. drop the pretentious act. don't make demands from your audience and don't wait 5 minutes to come out for an encore.
They don't usually perform encores.

i'm aware. they have 11 songs.
either flip the lights immediately, or bask in the encore demand for 1 or 2 minutes and get back out there.

Really you bothered to post that? Why don't you re-implement your script?

I may, I kind of forgot about you for a few weeks when you had your melt down, left the board, and then went on vacation.
We'll see how annoying you get in the next few days.

I didn't have a melt-down. But I don't see how I could be anymore annoying than you. Maybe you want to block yourself.

agreed.
I was already well on my way to seeing Richard Youngs at the Black Cat by the time this potential non-encore was happening at the 9:30.
Oh you were at that? Guess I missed you. Fun time! Who knew Richard Youngs was such a funny guy?
