Lana del Rey: Damn, she lost a lot of weight in a short period of time.

Tell us more. I'm assuming you mean the part about her dropping weight, not the part about me needing to drop 15-20 (my knees especially would appreciate this.)?

Echoing what Hutch, Sidehatch and Bearman said…killer killer killer Feelies show.  I had never seen them before…most times they've played the Ottobar I've flaked at the last minute, so I'm glad we had a closer show to finally get me off the couch.  They were absolutely on fire.

Great seeing Hutch and finally meeting 'Hatch!

I have never seen them either, and now I'm really sad I missed out on an epic night, both band and forum boardie appearance wise.

But i did get to see Blur blow chunks and Paris Hilton play cornhole.
I don't want to live in a world without a thick Lana Del Rey.

You and the missus are perfect too. Never change

I brought a certain local DC musician to see the Feelies on Saturday, and he was absolutely blown away by the show. He knows good music, has seen a ton of shows, but had never seen the Feelies. It pleased me that they made such a favorable impression on him. Whether or not they're objectively great as a band, they're my favorite band to see live. I think I've seen them 26 times, and even their old manager commented that somehow the best managed to get better. I agree with that. Stan's drumming is like the transmission of the band, and he can effortlessly take them from a slow cruise and turn them into a speeding racecar, all while making it look easy. But their impeccable taste, style, and self-awareness is something to behold. They're true to themselves. They are also probably the last true link to seeing a band like the Velvet Underground. They were true students of taking an almost minimalist aesthetic but they transform it into something special, uncompromising, and yet so enjoyable and exciting. That was one hell of a show.
Real Estate was freakin' fantastic last night. Some of the best sound I've heard at the 9:30…truly incredible.

Can confirm…the guitar work sparkled
An all-around great show. A bit disappointed they didn't give us Stained Glass or Kinder Blumen, but they did Easy and It's Real, and the new stuff is great…  nicely done.

4/18/24, Syracuse Carrier Dome. My first Springsteen show. What an absolutely joyful experience.
