It might have been just where I was standing, but in my area, it was probably 60 / 40 men to women ratio.

How did you convince your wife to go? Did you tell her Frank Turner was opening?

Nice to see you at the Narducyfest. Was a lot of fun.

Same here! It makes me happy when I get to run into familiar faces, especially at these random small gigs.

My "post show banter" is that the Sturgill Simpson show was "very good" and also that there was more weed openly smoked at this show than anything I've seen since maybe like Cypress Hill lol

Yeah… Sturgill obviously likes sick eds and I was pretty surprised about that as well. I don't know if I've ever seen an artist blatantly smoke multiple joints on stage (not there is anything wrong with that).

"Honey, you know those naps you like taking? Well, do I have an idea for you!"

You haven't been to enough shows in SF….

I did leave that out of my review - they smoked a lot of weed and, strangely, passed around a vape to do it.  You don't have to do that in SF…

What an outlaw! Do you think he'll do that at his Jersey show?
lol. Nah, I was solo.

sounds about right.

Seemed to be either:

1. Husband/Wife
2. Girlfriend/Boyfriend
3. Dude on Dude
4. Single Dude

It's not bad actually, a little muted but the sound coming from the PA wasn't particularly bright either.

Glad to see as many people like "Best Clockmaker on Mars" as much as I do!
74.

I enjoyed Titus Andronicus/Control Top at Ottobar. Control Top were way better (to me) last night than at Black Cat over the summer (opening for Ted Leo & RX). They seemed tighter, more sure of themselves, … Al and Ali in matching red suits, Ali in pasties with the letter "A" over one nipple, and "L" over the other to celebrate Al's birthday, and a barely secured jacket sometimes cover her up.

I love Titus, and Patrick was his usual deadpan funny, his brother (Brendan Stickles from Bethesda?) was on stage for part of the show adding some vocals and the intro/Abe Lincoln's address, to "A More Perfect Union." Chris Wilson is clearly my favorite drummer, and I was happy to see him again: That's 5 times this year: Titus twice, Hammered Hulls twice, and Ted Leo RX once.
ACL for one night was fun.  Great festival.  Austin is a dump though…they really need to get their homeless problem under control.  It's bad.
Idles show was high energy fun show at the club.  Well done!
Cool.  Have you seen the band Shame?!

Yes. Saw Shame at Black Cat.  They were a lot of fun.  Charlie Steen is a true frontman.  Looking forward to the next album and set of shows from them.
