Not quite
Locrian… Damn what a show.  I recommend any fan of metal or drone check them out live the next time they roll through.

If they were the Coors Light of rock bands, you'd find them absolutely amazing, no?

No Coors Light tastes like vomit flavored water.  How could that be amazing?
Any music fan with decent taste who's not under 30 or pretending to be would agree that Wilco has 50 songs that are better and more memorable than the Lumineers second best song.

Jeff Tweedy is the worst.
Let me guess…your wife slept with him before meeting you?

Atomic-

Did you actually check out the all request set list?  Do you realize how much work went in to learning some 50 songs so they could play at least half of them at this show?  I don't there's a band out there that would have attempted this.  (Not to mention changing up their regular lists nightly)
You may not like Tweedy as a person but give him and Wilco some credit as artists.

BTW,  I've seen him since the Uncle Tupelo days and have attended the 3 solid sound festivals.  To me Wilco's more analogous to Hopslam than Coors Light—- a lot of substance, some tart/feisty musings,  followed by a sweet, satisfying finish……

I'm glad they're changing the set lists up….last two shows I saw where pretty similar i thought…..i'm just hoping I dont have to hear heavy metal drummer again…

but seriously the setlists in this americanarama festivval have been pretty cool..

one of my bigger regrets is having e'd right before i saw them at rechers.. they opened with like 6 songs from mermaid avenue 2 but i spaced out….live and learn…

course i'm going for dylan.. wilco happens to be there
I have to admit I'm not a huge Wilco fan.  I have seen them a couple of times and was like meh.  However, their Bonnaroo set this year was top notch.  I think perhaps a lot of stuff they played was from the new album but it was darker and really guitar heavy.  I'm like holy shit they never sounded like this the other times I've seen them.  I was more then impressed along with a bunch of other people who never seen them before.
I'm a huge fan of Jay Bennett era Wilco…. don't care for them after… they lost all the fun… they went from a rock and roll band to a prog one..

SICK!!!

yeah i saw that bagley…

honestly, i don't see much to recommend in seeing a band do all covers. i mean the "idea" is nice.. and i guess its nice that you're getting someone nobody else is going to get.. but i'd rather see them play summer teeth or songs from the mermaid avenue cds

they played new madrid yesterday..that woulda been cool
I gotta say that Marquee Moon cover is damn near perfect.
Wilco doing Yo Lo Tengo?  Does it get any worse than that?  As for Dylan if he did covers they would most likely be way worse than the original artist.  Dylan's only strength is his songwriting. I guess since Wilco haven't written anything worthy of listening to it makes sense for them do an all covers set.
