A night that will live in infamy!!! I come bounding down the stairs to lobby and hear a drunken voice I recognize yelling “I know Hutch! Come on! Blah blah” …

We held the line.

Sidehatch’s plan made no sense anyways.

To be fair, they’re lucky they weren’t shot on sight.
I wanted to….

someone help me out here.  if you were doing two (different) venues, how was re-entry an issue?  did you not have a ticket to the bad nerves so you were trying to sneak in?  were you trying to use "i know hutch" as a free pass??
They thought they would leave Fontaines (a 90 minute show), go to bad nerves a block away, and come back for Fontaines’ end.

I think sidehatch was tripping…he was acting weird handing out stickers in the dark and mumbling…

1. I did not pull the “I know hutch” comment, our mutual friend did.  But out of nowhere Hutch appears as were are being explained the no re-entry policy.  We were calm and civil (although not very sober)
2. BN was playing about 2 blocks away at union stage.  I was told set time were 9:20-10:20 and was told FDC set times were 9:10-10:40… they even started a few minutes late
3. Plan was to leave anthem at 9:45 and return at 10:25-10:30 to catch last two songs

The math worked, would only get 45 mins of FDC and ~30 of BN, but could have caught the encores of both

Welp it didn’t help my friend showed up with a knee brace… so quick walking on the cobblestone was a possibility for disaster

And if not for those pesky teenagers, we would have do it too

I sensed a disturbance in the force….
As usual, none of you thought “what would Julian do” and just buy two sets of tickets to Fontaines or call in a bomb threat delaying the second concert. Instead you argued with the help.

I’ve been on here for decades, people. How have you learned none of my ways?
“the help”….classic
Anyone catch the Turnstile gig in Bawlmoor? Looked pretty sick… one of the Jeff's appeared to be there chaperoning.

Yeah, i was there -it was definitely insane in the most positive way. I can't stop thinking about it.  Someone said its baltimores version of the dead in golden gate park in the 60s lol
Every now and then, I have some really random flashbacks to concerts I saw. For some reason, I just had a flashback to February 1994…I saw a band called the Psyclone Rangers open for Paw at the old 9:30, and they did a cover of the Honeycomb cereal theme song. The singer opened up a box of Honeycombs and threw them at the audience. I don't know why, but that moment is stuck in my head right now.

The stuff of legends I've been told.
Fun “Greatest Hits”’Bush show. Forgot that Filter was the opener so nice surprise?

First time seeing both bands so check it off and move along.

26 years ago I saw both bands at Q101's Twisted Christmas concert in Chicago. Part of an afternoon/evening concert. Other bands on the bill: Blink 182, Foo Fighters, Oasis, Fiona Apple, Run DMC, and Moby. Bush was the headliner. Kinda wild to think how big they were at that time.
