Preisdent Trump says "the schools should open" but "I think the teachers are a different story. And if a teacher is in a certain age group, I think they shouldn't be going in and probably they're going to have to wait until the thing goes by. They'll have to wait."

I can't speak for Trump, but when people with half a brain in their head are talking about schools opening, they're not necessarily talking about opening full time for everyone. Fairfax had a choice between hybrid and distance learning, full time wasn't an option.

I know Maine and Vermont are opening schools, at least in a hybrid fashion. And they've got the rates low enough and are rural enough and hopefully have enough testing and tracing in place to make it work. Most places, including NoVA, don't.
