I moved from voting for Mayor Pete to Team Biden last night. Agree any vote in VA on Tuesday that isn’t for one of those two is tossing the vote away.
The 2020 thread....
Buttigieg drops out.
Wonder if he made a deal with Biden to drop out pre-Super Tuesday in return for a VP or high cabinet spot>

VP??? No way!!
I mean isn’t endorsing Biden
Let’s face it if Biden gets that far the VP will be a black woman

Would choosing a black woman as his VP put him over the top in WI, MI, and PA?
Who knows? It - along with Obama and Michelle campaigning big time and genuinely (Can anyone imagine the same if Bernie is the nominee?) would help motivate people to stand in line 5 hours in the cold and in some cases cut out of work early
Anyways we are not there…at this point Bernie is in the driver’s seat and the primaries will probably get so ugly whichever side loses will not be motivated to vote in the numbers we need…
At least that’s the way I see it but YMMV

Pete…it was not your time
you've 10 more presidential elections ahead of ya, let some of the old timers get a chance
I think both Stacy Abrams and Kamala Haris look like potential VP picks for biden
I'm not really sure who sanders would pick, maybe killer mike or Chuck D
I really don't think this is the end of bloomberg either
as cindy lauper once sang…money changes everything
although not looking good for him, 538 has him a 1 in 100 odds of getting the nom (Sand 1 in 4 and Joe 1 in 8 )
Looks like Tuesday night I'm going to be glued to the TV

I did the same for CA. He just made it easier….
I will be glued to a bottle with my right and iPhone with my left hand
I'd be ok with Sanders as President. But I'm not ok with him breaking up the best rap band of all time.

I’m with Flavor Flav!!
You really can’t call it Public Enemy without him

I recently watched a Public Enemy concert from Sydney in 2008 that was streaming on some free station, and Flavor Flav was not performing with them at that show. It was a little weird to watch them play with a full band, yet use Flav's pre-recorded vocals.
Also, I think the band were the only black people at the show.
So the two who said they were voting for Mayor Pete before he dropped out…was that serious or just trollin'
Also, what happens if you voted early for someone who dropped out…I guess you can't change that (not for me, just curious)
The concert was in Sydney…so not really that earth-shattering of a reveal
Missing FF from PE is like not having the bass track…somewhat critical to their overall sound, but Chuck D is the mastermind

My entire ballot is filled out, I just hadn't marked my Presidential candidate yet. There are 20 people who qualified in CA, and even if they drop out of the race, they are still in the ballot.
Had I marked Kamala, Castro or anyone else, it would have been a wasted vote .

i don't get the concept of a "wasted vote". there is no such thing, all votes have significance. a vote for buttigieg or harris still signals to them that they have support, that their campaigns had traction (just not enough). in 2024, you don't think candidates won't look back at how much residual support they had?

that's more of a silver lining
a vote for someone who isn't actaully running seems like a wasted vote
again…RANKED CHOICE VOTING would solve that problem (Unless you have Gravel, Booker, Delaney and Bennet)
So, in this simulator, the Klobuchar to Biden thing is very significant…

Just because Klobachar told me to vote for X candidate does not mean her former followers will.

Wait, what?
At school bus stop waiting for kids
Talk about overzealous Bernie canvasser knocking on doors with secret knock and jiggling doorknob
NKOTB?
If so pretty sure you just lost a vote…
