The 2020 thread....

It will consolidate

Bernie is actually losing to Pete in terms of delegates…they each have 20 or so….need like 2000

I think that tells you how early it iS

Yesterday’s results to me demonstrate democrats don’t want Bernie…he may do ok in Nevada though…
Of all the candidates, I'd love to see Pete debate Trump
frustrating that these two insignificant states get so much hype, create "momentum", that sets the course for the rest of the primary.  as some talking head pointed out yesterday, if california or texas were the first state then mayor pete would be back at the bottom of the pack.
We need a one day primary end of story

No other country has this clown show

It’s ridiculous

With97% of vote in Bernie up 1.26%

Weak sauce

But why give California first crack at it? They're going to go blue in the general no matter who the Dems put up. Why not give added importance to the states who are going to actually determine the outcome of the general election?
I am certainly opposed to the current set up…it's also decentralized so its a clusterfuck all around

I do think that maybe doing it over four dates and each time zone votes at the same time might be a good way to do it
I also think it should be ranked choice, can you imagine what would have happened in NH if we knew who peoples 2nd choice was
for all we know Biden might have won

Ranked choice makes sure the candidate that most people want get's the nom

iowa and NH are going to determine the election either.

also, your argument doesn't hold for texas.

but fine - penssylvania.  florida (*shudder*).  michigan.  you know, a state with a representative population, makeup, and degree of urbanization.
I said this earlier…
If the dems actually want to win…should just be in the battle ground states
WI, MI, PA, FL, MN, NC, AZ
could add NV, VA ME, GA and NE for full coverage

If we get the person who can win in those state, then the election is almost a slam dunk

So apparently the candidate in 3rd place is a bigger story than the candidate in 2nd place, who in turn is a bigger story than the candidate in 1st place? OK.

Surely, Nate Silver is old enough to remember the "Comeback Kid" narrative that James Carville orchestrated for Bill Clinton to great success in 1992….
women should remember that in 2020 182 republicans voted against the ERA today

Let's see if this goes to Mitch's graveyard
Have they packed the Senate?
wish I knew,
Elizabeth warren did a town hall tonight at Wakefield High School…like three blocks from my house
I wonder if this was NKOTB's doing? My wife was going to go but came home and ate my tostadas instead.

wow, Arlington was a hot bed of actvity last night
President Trump Made a Surprise Visit to Arlington Today
this is odd tho…
Trump posed for a photo with staffers, who work out of what’s been described as a “Republican National Committee annex” in “a glass-skinned tower overlooking the Potomac River.” The address is not publicly available.

I aint voting for this piece of shit.

Upon information and belief, in or about July 1993, Bloomberg heard that a female Company sales person, who had just had a baby, was having difficulty finding a nanny. He yelled loudly at her, in the presence of a large group of employees,“It’s a f—— baby! All it does is eat and s—! It doesn’t know the difference between you and anyone else! All you need is some black who doesn’t even have to speak English to rescue it from a burning building!” The sales person cried at hearing her employer say such things to her, in so public a manner.

nothing says 'draining the swamp' like giving a guy like Blagojevich a pardon
