The 2020 thread....

My evidence is the exit poll I am pointing you to (third try here) and what I see around me….

What, specifically in the poll are you referring to? There's a lot to unpack there. And does an exit poll of California voters and "what you see around you" accurately represent voters in MI, WI, and PA?

Of course CA is somewhat different from other places but it’s a general trend. Many Bernie voters dislike the Democratic Party, Biden and feel the nomination was stolen from them…many of them will just not vote

We will have to defeat Trump without them and the sooner we realize and accept that the better

And the question in the poll is will you vote Democrat regardless of who is nominee

Maybe some of those were Trump voters trying to make Bernie the opponent? Can anyone vote in the California primary?

I did not see that coming…

Me neither, people were writing obits of his campaign on Friday

also a lot of support for bernie in 2016 was somewhat anti hilliary and thinking there was NO WAY that Trump would actually win and there would be a normal GOP candidate
One thing Bernie got right is that it does seem like Americans won't elect a woman.
I also didn’t see how weak Sanders support is

He is going to lose Maine! His numbers are down everywhere from 2016

The only thing Sanders does well is get Latinos to vote…whoever is running Latino outreach is now set for their life…nothing but promotions and pay raises ahead

Maybe a new latino rock promoter for the DC region?
Rich guy quits, supports Biden.
warren losing MA has got to be devastating for her.  what's the over/under on how long her campaign lasts - 2 days?
The age optics are fucking terrible but someone really needs to take me seriously on this Biden/Sanders unity ticket if the goal is truly “just not Trump, no matter what it takes.”
Too early…let it play out

But Biden owes the black community and he has to turn out black voters in November like you don’t know to have a chance…also women

To me the unity ticket is with a black woman as VP

Also what makes you think Sanders is interested?

Biden/Klobuchar
Hutch: Why do you think Biden has to pick and African American female?

He was already kicking the ass of Harris and Booker, even among blacks. So what would Harris bring to the ticket?

And Stacey Abrams is smart, but an unqualified nobody.

Who else do you have in mind? Michele ain't gonna do it. Though having the Obamas campaigning for him would help.
I don’t know who and picking a VP is high stakes poker beyond my pay grade

But why? Cause you need black People to stand in line in the cold in Philly for 5 hours…we have been through this

We need to turnout the black vote and the female vote as absolutely high as possible…won’t spell out rest

Not for Federal offices, no.

State and local offices are open primary, federal offices you must be a registered member of a party, EXCEPT the Democratic Primary which allows for those registered Decline To State to request a Democratic ballot (Republican's refused to allow this in their primary).  If you registered for a different party however, you are limited to the Candidates of only that party.
I would argue yesterday’s numbers are pretty much proof AAs will show up to vote for Biden. Who supposedly will not show up to vote for Biden? Latinos and young people. Who do Latinos and young people show up to vote for? Bernie Sanders.

Like it’s an ideological mess and I don’t think Bernies evangelical belief in himself will allow him to take a VP slot, but I think he covers Biden’s voting gaps pretty obviously.

If 2016 taught us anything it is women do not feel any mora obligation to vote for a woman. I honesty do not know what Stacey Abrams does for you electorally or demographically that Biden does not already have.

But yeah, it will probably be Klobs if I had to guess today to try and nail down Minnesota.
I will go out on a limb and say it will be Kamala Harris.
