Iowa: are we waiting on the final Des Moines Register poll? Tomorrow, right?
The 2020 thread....

15% seems probable or possible…
I just think saying 24% is crazy…I don’t expect NKOTB to accept his number was bull or to accept Hillary did not cost Obama the presidency while Bernie did cost Hillary the presidency
I think voting doesn’t take place in a vacuum
We knew Trump was a threat…We knew Obama would beat McCain
I noticed NKOTB called Hillary a loser……the real loser was the American people including NKOTB and I
I got that CNN link from this article, which does address the 24 figure.:
https://medium.com/@jriddle/the-12-bernie-to-trump-figure-and-24-clinton-to-mccain-figure-comes-from-brian-schaffner-of-the-9905971c9f45
It also says:
Note: In general, 7–10% of self-identified Democrats will vote for the Republican candidate and vice-versa — that’s the usual level of crossover voting in a modern presidential election.
So we need a candidate who is going to not only bring out the apathetic voter, but also keep the Democratic flippers, and capture the Republican flippers.
The naivety is just astounding.
The reason the only 6 states that matter DON'T go first, despite Florida and Michigan's attempts, is because the party's Cash cow is the coasts.
That's why the debates are so depressing and a battle for the coastal votes - Money.
Without money, no candidate gets out of the primary, and without money, nobody beats Trump. But don't worry, come Wednesday, even the coastal money might not matter.

If the human race, put this much effort and thought into curing diseases, ending starvation, fixing the environment, exploring the cosmos, understanding dna and why the mind only uses less than 10% of it's capacity, connecting the consciousness with meta physicality . . . .
. . . . Instead of wagging your mental dicks at each other attempting to prove that yours is somehow bigger when it comes to what you feel is correct with politics, we might actually accomplish something on the time period we have with this planet. But instead, you would rather bore the air around you with the facts that you are nothing more than self importance; nothing more than a waste of any time or space; nothing more than rejection that can't realize you'll never matter.
It must be sad, to take politics that seriously, because it doesn't take you for anything but a fool.
Enjoy, your teets of boredomness. The future is not yours, to grasp.

for the record, I can chew gum AND walk at the same timer
I'm also especially good a compartmentalizing
I'm happy, don't worry about me.
But it's also sad to not take seriously some of the seriously fucked up shit that is going on.
Personally, there are very few places where I discuss politics at all
It's fairly infrequent
I'm a 'know your audience' kinda guy on most topics. Most people have very little interest in talking at the level I do.
So it's pretty much here and one or two people I see every once in a while
More Americans should take politics seriously! I mean our democracy has been taken from us, we are destroying the planet and we are in fascism territory but hey…….Super Bowl! Beer! Nachos!
Maybe if we had taken politics more seriously when Trump was running in 2016 he wouldn’t be President? Did you do everything you could to help elect Hillary?

Today is the day!
A Biden bust would really help Bloomberg

Thought this was interesting…
Not only did they again have to exclude donations to Bernie from the map to show the second place folks, but in calculating the number of states in which a candidate has the most donors:
Joe Biden: 1 (his home state, Bernie in 2nd)
Elizabeth Warren: 1 (her home state, Bernie in 2nd)
Pete Buttigieg: 1 (his home state, Bernie in 2nd)
Amy Klobuchar: 1 (her home state, Bernie in 2nd)
Bernie Sanders: 46

Piece of advice…unless you want to start getting 10 texts a day begging you for more money, don't ever give to Bernie.

LOL to both of those posts
you know what really pisses me off about caucuses
peer pressure
Have been on the fence with Mike…but this by far is his most compelling argument
"While I was mayor, the Giants won twice and the Yankees won a World Championship, and no New York team has won since I left office."

Ok…I'm calling it….I predict a Bernie Sanders victory in Iowa
So you're NOT coming to the weekly canvassing I host for Bernie in Alexandria?

I am sure NKOTB put in a lot of effort on behalf of Hillary and I think I will do the same on behalf of Bernie if he is the nominee. I will certainly match his contributions to the Hillary campaign dollar for dollar.
Talk to me when Bernie is the nominee but I canvassed in Arlington for Hillary in the general last time..how was your experience canvassing for her in Alexandria?

I think if you give to Mike Bloomberg …this won't happen ;)
It really is time to say bye to the Iowa caucus
Past time
