Sandbox sent me my Nick Cave seating placements.  Mine are in row K (tenth row) in the orchestra section.

yea I got row N…14 rows back
Really not too bad…but was hoping I'd be in the first few rows

I got row J, also feeling a bit of disappointment.
the first 7 rows were sold for $200 on ticketmaster as  part of the VIP package….that's why you didn't get any of those.
Row R here from the same pre-sale.

What is more shocking is that for the Philadelphia show, there were no more tickets in the first 30 rows or so in the regular sale. This is completely ridiculous that half of the venue is sold before the tickets are even officially on sale. "General Sale" is actually some kind of left-over sale.

Perhaps the rules for Nick Cave were clear, but I don't want to start playing this little game for all Ticketmaster shows.

oh i think that is a great seat.. soundwise its about the best you can do…
Maybe the rules were clear, maybe they weren't; I didn't look into it enough I guess to have a clear understanding of what was available when.  There were also two pre-sales and I'm still not sure what was available in the second one.

I've got a ticket and I'm excited to be going.  The price point combined with the fact that he just came around to a better venue on the same tour had me wavering on this show from the beginning.  Having worse seats than Strathmore has me questioning my decision and wishing I had waited till right before showtime to get cheap tickets on the secondary market.

The Haim show sold out fast.  I suspect those girls will be @ Merriweather fairly soon.
I certainly thought I ended up with good seats…just all that talk of 2nd row seats had me being overly optimistic.  The DAR is only worth it if you are in the first 20 rows IMO.  So I'm in the sweet spot I wanted to be.
I'm in the 10th row.  Figured we wouldn't get 2nd because of the VIP.  OK with me!  Last time was too crazy!

His 930 club show in 07 or 08 was pretty packed… Ramshead was empty, baloltimore.

Edit: Make that 08'. Oh the power of the internet.

I just bought a ticket to the Floristree show.  Anyone else going to that one?  The 930 one would be impossible for me to attend since I will be rocking to Pixies in Philly that night…

Sorry  for my typical response to has-beens who suck solo.  I did like some of the Pavement albums from over 20 years ago but even Pavement sucked live at the Virgin Fest.  And the crowd was pretty  much non-existant for their set.  Anyway Beach House, Celebration, Jenn Wasner at Floristree!!!! WTF!!!!!  I am so excited…I just can't hide it.  I am going to lose control
