M. Ward peaked in the three album stretch of Transfiguration/Transistor Radio/Post-War. The last two records, and all the She and Him stuff is zzzz.

Even thinking about M. Ward makes me want to go to sleep.
I heard the Postal Service will no longer schedule gigs on Saturdays.

::) ;D

Yeah, but wait until you see their new swag next year!
Re: PS/DCFC I first thought Ben sounded like Kermit. Yet, I like both bands. Surprised they are popular among mainstream masses. Guessing they (those who love DCFC) have caught up on their catalog. and the PR surrounding PS shows/album obviously includes the DCFC name. Summer show at MPP fine, but I can't imagine them playing a large stadium any other time in the year…

Since most of the these festivals have the most interesting bands playing early or on second stages, it makes me wish FreeFest was a two day festival featuring just these bands without the big festival headliners.  September is also a much for reasonable time of year for a festival.

I agree freefest has better weather than most festivals.  They should make it a three day festival and charge for it.  That would keep out the riff raff and we could get better bands.

I think next year I might just do a festival in northern europe.. somewhere like Sweden where I don't have to worry about it being 100 degrees.

not gonna happen in this area.
go to Iceland (Airwaves) or Ireland (Oxegen)
Getting those Belle and Sebastian tickets was crazy easy. Wow.

co-signed, although that seating chart for the pavilion on the Ticketfly site is hard to read and there isn't one on the Merriweather site.  ended up getting pit anyways…
There were pits still available but I want seats..best seats left center row P.  I think I will see if there are better tickets tomorrow.
I got Center row P, so I'm happy.

Got a ticket for JT and Jay-Z!

That's my favorite place to sit there because you're next to the sound board!

i don't think i've ever seen matmos play more than 3 songs at a baltimore show.  it's weird.
I believe this night could be different.  Also, I think they (Matmos and Horse Lords) play some songs together.

Horse Lords basically is Matmos' backing band.

Go listen to the FMU session if you have not yet. Really good. Awesome interview, too. I bet Drew Daniel makes for an animated English professor.

Nobody super excited about  Pitbull, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis appearing at the Preakness?  I mean they are very popular and lots of people listen to their music, so it must be the best and hotness stuff out there right now.

Oh don't worry, I'm sure atomic will be praising this booking
;D
I don't know who the first act is, but Ryan Lewis and Macklemore's album was voted best album of 2012 by KEXP listeners.
