you can add your experience that night to the shitty sounding venue thread, cause it will be shitty!

But Verizon seems too big. Just goes to highlight the lack of mid-size venues.

Echo Stage? Isn't that dump around 5k?

Mid-size venues that aren't dumps. And have tiered seating. MPP minus the lawn.
Just remembered that a 6K venue is being built at The Wharf and will be run by Seth. Anybody know its status?

Pretty sure that is many years away from completion.

i have not been to many shows there (I think two total) and did not have complaints with the sound for either.

Best Coast is a great band. "California Nights" is one of my favorite LPs of the year.
Nile Rodgers means for sure they play Wild Boys.. worst song ever.
dude.  really.  wild boys.  best song ever, live.  when they cranked it at the warner theatre, comeback show, the place went dynamite like old lady ushers have never seen.

the Verizon show will be a return to eighties heyday era duran duran.  I predict a stage and light show to make coldplay, go damn.
I'm finding it interesting/humorous that Duran Duran is playing the same venue that Bruce Springsteen & the E St Band is playing. I would not have predicted that a year ago.

I had that same exact thought last night. And it's rare when I have thoughts about Verizon Center concerts.

Makes sense. I don't like cover bands of bands I don't like either.
Pretty sure Springsteen sold out instantly.
Simon Le Bon sounds like Boy George now, on Paper Gods at least…hehehe

I scored a GA floor ticket. Anyone else?
Got 2GA's for DC and Philly.  DC was much easier using app than website

I used the app as well.

I have found this to be the case for a handful of shows that were "immediate sellouts."
