This is perfect… I can go straight from Artscape to Splace Scape both nights.

Julian, I would assume both bands will play headlining length sets.  They are both on headlining tours, and only the August 9th to 15th shows have both bands.

That includes Electric Factory on August 14, if anyone is interested in doing multiple shows.

Fartscape: festival made up of bands that have scatological names.

You can't e-scape it.

Is anybody else planning on going to the Neurosis show in Richmond?  Hum/Failure at the 930 Club made the choice between Neurosis in Philly or in Richmond, an easy one.

I got my ticket to RVA Neurosis gig.

Possibly the worst venue I've ever been to. It's an ex-dance club that has in no way been retrofitted for concerts. They stuck a stage and a shitty PA in a back corner next to the restrooms. Total pile of crap.

Thanks for the heads up?  I am going regardless of what the venue is like; it is either Richmond or nothing…

It was intended as a heads up. Get there early or you're going to be stuck in the back which has an extremely blocked view of the stage. I have drawn this quick MS Paint picture of the layout so you can understand the issue.



EDIT: I also neglected to indicate that even in that back alcove by the stage, there are several old-930esque poles splitting up the room.
