Pope Francis
9/24 (early show - 9:20 AM)
Congress (haven't been to this venue yet)

Looks like no opener and rumor has it he's only doing new stuff, so no requests please

I'm sure that he'll do plenty of old stuff but it'll be new to most of the audience.

yeah, you are correct, he's going with the deep cuts.
stuff that's never been played live before, but recorded centuries ago

I'm a big fan of his goth tweets. Will he be reciting any of those?
My favorite is this one.

immense pile of filth

now there's a good band name!
I'll be happy with a setlist consisting solely of his 6/18/15 tweets.

What say we all wear seersuckers?

i'm in, although instead of a seersecker i have a powder-blue polyester suit straight out of an early 70's used car dealership… it'll fit the bill.

I hope this becomes a thing.

We should see if Seth will "fund" round 2 of GWAR and give free admission to any boardie who comes in a suit/formalwear. He doesn't seem to like me, so someone else should ask.

on the calendar….I might wear the Crochet-short suit instead. Although seems like it might hold all the fake blood
Vsmak might have to catch a flight to dc for this one ;D

If someone crocheted a suit, that would be amazing. Even more amazing if they make it one of those weird little kid/German suits that have shorts. Then wear sandals and a Bavarian hat.

a definite advantage of my polyester suit is that it's indestructible and machine-washable. perfect for Gwar!

And the (by then) Misses. I'm sure she'd love to meet us all.

Free admission might be a stretch, but VIP / balcony seating would be fabu. With, of course, the obligatory trips down to the pit.
gwar is not a show i would be particularly interested in having access to the VIP area. if you're not in the pit, you're not at the gwar show.

Yeah, I agree. That's entirely not in the spirit of this thing.

Yeah, I agree. That's entirely not in the spirit of this thing.

also if I remember correctly the VIP area is covered in tarp
getting covered in fake blood is the only way to see GWAR

How about a suit made out of Sponges!
then at the end of the night the Staph could clean the floor with you if you passed out like Jules
Wearing a suit to the club is nothing new for Smackie. I will miss Josh shaking his head in amazement at me though…

That being said, I will pass on the GWAR experience.

Lederhosen. And they're all the rage in Germany again, especially among young adults.

She'll pass as well. Though she has enjoyed the handful of you that she has met. There will even be a few boardies at the wedding…
