There are so many bands from that time period of say 03 to 07 that kind of just disappeared. I'm actually surprised Arcade Fire came out alive after a few stinker albums they put out.

Which ones were stinkers? Not everyone can/wants to put out Ten/Funeral every album.

I'd consider Neon Bible a stinker… and while Funeral may have been perfect in 04', over time I feel it has lost its luster.  So… putting out one stinker, plus Funeral maybe not being as awesome as it once was in a course of six to seven years is an easy recipe for a band to disappear. Obviously, that didn't happen…

Edit: And what az just said….

Being the greatest live band in the world helps a band stay around.

Thanks for reminding me to stay away from their shows. And saying that the Arcade Fire is the greatest live band in the world suggests you don't go to many concerts.

Of course I have been to a lot of concerts.  Seen tons of bands.  But why do you think they keep playing bigger and bigger venues?  It is because they are incredible live.
Since when is the size of venue a band plays proof that they are a great live band?

I thought the size of the venue was more synonymous with how many tools buy into the hype. (?)

Sounds awesome.  Great Musical.  That is right around baby arrival date or I would so be there.
Venue is pretty large for this though.  It would better for them to perform more dates at a smaller venue.

i see what you did here…
Echo and the bunnymen at Fillmore ……quite big for them…

But they bored me last time, so not going anyway.
What if… You won a free ticket, or two?
nope
well I'd like to see Echo for once but that is not where I wanted to see them and i can't do that date…bummer in the summer for me
You don't like the Fillmore?  I don't get the Fillmore hate.  I thought it was a wonderful venue and had a great time the couple of times that I went there.  Great sound, cool look to the interior, and clean bathrooms, plenty of room, nice location for free parking, safe neighborhood…
i can't stand the 'vip' thing they have going on upstairs
I didn't ever try to go upstairs… What is the VIP thing?

So it means there is no chance of selling out? I won't know until a few months if I am available…

Fillmore is good, they should put Mogwai there instead of a 12am set time  :-\
no, there's no way it will sell out!

I think they burned their bridges with IMP and other places.  I might go to this show.  But the last two times I have bought tickets to their shows they played for less than give minutes and.gif other time canceled their show.
Never.mind I saw the date…not going.

Beer selection sucks, security staff sucks, corporate feel sucks.
