Just Announced Commentary - 2011 Edition

That particular boat would be more like a cabin cruiser and not a yacht, but I do like the way you think.  Someone needs to make a yacht metal album.
And call it "Stabbin' in the Cabin"

Actually, that would be a good name for a Yacht Metal album or "Songs for Fuckin' on a Boat"
Will the Carrie Brownstein talk be fun or annoying? I can't decide.

Just picturing the crowd sitting there in awe of this conversation is annoying, I can't imagine being there.
One of the most awkward things I have ever heard was Bret Easton Ellis trying to interview her (and Fred but he was fine) on the BEE podcast.  You would have to pay me to go listen to her live.
I did not like Portlandia live. Thanks for saving me 27 bucks.
crazy billing, think it would be a bore too
saw her book yesterday and think that would be a much better use of funds

TAN..saw the Terry Gilliam one…looks really interesting, not sure I want to pay $40 for the hardcover, but I'm looking for a beatup used copy
Hopefully Hutch will get it as I'm amassing a great collection of his previously read works

Her book is great.
I'm planning on going to that zine talk at UMD if anyone else is!

Anyone have the presale info for this? Never seen him. Excited.

His shows at the original 9:30 were fantastic, among the best I saw there. James Calvin Wilsey was the perfect guitarist for Isaak.
I saw Chris Isaak a few weeks ago when he was here for the Super Bowl.  He's still got it.

That footage that surfaced this weekend really doesn't seem like a band that can or should sell out stadiums.
I bought 2 VIP tickets… looking forward to chilling with the GNR road crew….taking a picture on stage etc..

I didn't think it was horrible. The best thing about it was Slash. But it was far from transcendent. That being said, seeing them at the Troubadour for 10 bucks would be killer. Paying more than 100 times that much for Fed Ex Field seems like a total misfire of brain synapses.
Probably at that basketball arena again I'm assuming? DAR is probably too small for them.

Did they hate that venue?

13 songs…other venues got 16 songs.
