yes. They were mediocre last time at the Black Cat. Nothing like their albums.

Do we think Tame Impala will sell out?

i was afraid that they might be a lame live show.

Yeah, I'll second what Vas said.  Tame Impala was mediocre at best at the Black Cat (nothing particularly wrong with it; just nothing particularly good either).. I thought Yuck blew them away.
I am not a fan of them on album at all.  Just curious as they seem to be hyped a lot this year.  I was wondering if they would be a big draw in that they had a lot of fans or were they just a hyped band.
Nick Cave at the Strathmore? I am sure it'll still be a good show, but I wouldn't have picked that venue for them. They're such a great 9:30 band.

yeah.. the fact that it is at the Strathmore makes me have little interest honestly..

I guess if I really love the album when it comes out.. but by then the show will be sold out?
standing only GA is definitely the better way to experience their live show, I agree.

And count me out at $75.

The club shows were $45!
$75!!!!!!!!!!!!!??? for all the seats?
According to Joe.
that's fine by me.  There are few shows I would want to see anymore and Nick Cave is one of them..  Sound there is great.
I'll go (to the Nick Cave show at the Stathmore) if I can get a good seat close to the stage, but I'll probably pass if I can't. I'd rather see him at the 9:30 Club. Can Nick Cave sell out the Strathmore? I'll be surprised, especially at that price.

I actually think the Stathmore would have been a better fit for the Sigur Ros show.
I saw Sigur Ros at the Strathmore.  Amazing.

One of the reasons I don't mind paying the dollars for Nick Cave there.
I have nothing against going to a show at the Strathmore; I just think some types of shows are better there than others.

What's the story on the nickcave.com presale? Do you need a password or join something? Not much info on the site that I can see.

Seats are 55 and 65 before fees.  So 65 and 75 I'm guessing.

oh shoot . . . i should have posted in here.  sorry.  i've never listened to a single nick cave song in my life.  if a nick cave song played right now, i would not know who it is.
Start with Murder Ballads.
A Daft Punk tribute act?
^Hahaha just read your tweet.

DAMMIT! Same night as Nick Cave. I hate it when that happens.
I justified the 87.50 after fee price of Nick Cave to the fact that I would spend that much buying a 50 dollar ticket to the 930 and then spending 40 on beers/tips that night too…

Won't drink at the Strathmore show.
