brooklyn luna sold out in 30 minutes at the most…i got shut out.. wasn't sure i wanted to make the trek

i bought a ticket for the philly show but i'm not sure i'll be able to get away but what the hell….

The DC presale is still not sold out though

I was totally unaware of the DC presale and had to really look for it. If you guys hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have known it was happening. I'm glad that they're selling some shows out. That's a good sign. Those guys deserve a little validation and money for so much good music that never really got the attention it deserves.

for some it's a community.  for others, many others, it's a one-way source of information.  the two are not mutually exclusive and your interpretation certainly isn't the only one.

it's a message board, not a community.  community is what we make of it, and the community has been pretty clear about what it wants from JA.  to say that everything needs to be a discussion is asinine. 

you and i are having a discussion here in a thread dedicated to discussion.  it was not hard to keep our banter out of a thread dedicated to announcements..  demanding the "right" to blather on where it is clearly not wanted is neither righteous nor supportive of the community.

Thanks for the info on the Mike Doughty show. Haven't seen him since the Fletcher's show in 2003. Looking forward to it.

See, that's where you're dead wrong. Go look at the thread: I'm hardly the only one commenting on shows or posting non-listings in there. The "community" has not said they don't want it. That's easily disproven by the large number of people who don't abide by that "rule".

A small, extremely vocal minority (the 930.com NRA, if you will) want it. You've just been fooled by the hand-wringing by a few whiners into thinking there is some giant consensus on this fact.
