*IMPORTANT*
This performance is a SUNSET CONCERT. The Weather Warlock is a musical instrument which is played by the weather. The weather sensors are mounted to a
post and detect temperature, wind, sun, and rain. This all-analog synthesizer produces a wide range of tones and harmonics based around a consonant E major
chord with special audio events occurring during sunrise and sunset.

More than ten years ago I thought about using weather radar data for aleatoric electronic music. Could use incoming storms as one-time performances. Never did follow up.
My commentary on the UN Fest 4 initial lineup:

SHEER MAG - Ewww. No thanks.  Their set last week was one of the worst 30 minutes of music that I had to endure over the last year.  I watched most of it from the back. If they headline one of the days, I will be leaving early.

SCREAMING FEMALES - Yeah, yeah, yeah - they play around here all the time.  They are still fun live (I will not listen to them at home, no thanks) thanks to her crazy guitar playing.

ROOMRUNNER (LAST SHOW!) - This is a sad one for me.  They are one of my favorite bands.  I have seen them over  a dozen times since they formed.  On the bright side, at least I have their new/last album (due in 2016), to look forward to.

PRIESTS - I dig Priests live.  Another band I wont really listen to at home.

PURE DISGUST - They make some of my favorite punk at the moment, and happen to be local to DC.

BARRERACUDAS - No clue.  I don't know if I love, or hate their name.

WING DAM - Great fuzzy rock, and solid ass people.

BLANK SPELL - This sounds familiar, but I am drawing a blank.  I think it is another punk band (homework!).

RED DEATH - Another stellar punk band from the district!

EXPERT ALTERATIONS - Pop heroes and cool peeps.

HONEY RADAR - no idea

SNEAKS - I dug what I heard online.  I would like it check out live.

LOUD BOYZ - I think I heard them once and did not like them.

POST PINK - This will be over my 10th time seeing them.  They play in Baltimore, all the time.

That is my commentary (in response to azaghal saying "not too shabby" and Vas saying "same bands, different day".  I look forward to seeing who will be in the next round of bands.

Hahaha I don't need to see Sheer Mag again but I didn't really hate them.
I enjoy your, no idea, review.
Thanks,  :D ;)

I love those opportunities to meet people at small venues… if you were a big Who fan you'd probably be into it….I think its around when the who is in town (simon tours with them)…so could be a nice pre-show or post-show thing with other Who fans…

but none of the shows I post are targeted at anyone in specific or are even of interest to me so the "can't say i'm excited about ___fill in blank____" seems rather moronic… you just never know who is into what or would like to know about what show…

DIIV is opening the Ride show

Awesome, was bummed I missed the BC show last year
I know they get tons of hate, but I dig them.  I really enjoyed their opening set for How To Destroy Angels at the Fillmore in 2013.  I was thinking about going to the Black Cat in November to see them with No Joy, and now I do not have to go there.
I'm meh on their music and the main guy comes off like a clown with a Kurt Cobain complex in interviews and their bassist is mostly known for his racist Twitter rants.
i personally like their music. As for interviews or Twitter, I don't really read interviews with bands and I hate Twitter.  I try to base my enjoyment on music on the music, and not any dumb stuff one of the members might've said.
