^ I've been to two rock shows at Howard and both were GA standing.
I think it's seated when it's an R&B show or acoustic.

I can see it not working for some…. they're definitely their own world
I understand why they are such a big influence on so many, I just can't do it. I'll listen to the Neko Case version though. My husband thinks they are genius and keeps trying to sneak them onto our Spotify mixes!

Why would she bring a band to a book tour? 8)
Also, I have no idea if it is free or not; but I would assume it costs something.

Friday, October 9, 2015 at 7 p.m.
Musician, writer, poet?the artist known as Patti Smith is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has a record (Horses) on the list of top 100 albums of all time. The French Ministry of Culture has declared her a Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres, and she was awarded the National Book Award for Just Kids, a memoir that has moved and enchanted thousands of readers. In M Train (Knopf, $25), Smith continues the story, visiting eighteen places that have special meaning for her, from the Greenwich Village café where she begins her days to the Michigan home she shared with her late husband and on to the memorials and grave sites of artists that have empowered and inspired her, a list that includes Frida Kahlo, Sylvia Plath, and Rimbaud. Re Deafheaven tickets, which supposedly went on sale at noon today. Did anybody succeed? I was on at noon and nothing was ever made available before the site switched to a no tickets available at this time notice. Were they ever available? Did anybody get one? Or should I have been part of the Deafheaven fan club?

Looks like no opener and rumor has it he's only doing new stuff, so no requests please
I'm sure that he'll do plenty of old stuff but it'll be new to most of the audience.
