Jez me too…
$55 is kinda steep
man this is really bad timing for me, wish I'd saved my FreeTix for this one (not that Ride won't be awesome)

Isn't that mainly the 25 and under crowd? I can't imagine much of their original fan base attending Sweetlife?
^ ticket rules kept the scalpers away

they really should do more shows like this
They could charge $5 more per ticket to cover the headache and I'd be fine with that
last minute announcement didn't help either.
more room for me to dance, brahz.

I am pretty sure with Pixies and Billy Idol being headliners on the same day, that they were trying to attract older fans.

TBH, I didn't even look at the line up… but I guess that makes sense.

$55 is cheap… people were paying more to see them at Strathmore.

I don't argue that it's not a awesome value…for me at this particular time…it's a really tough sell

But I'm not sure why Pixies fans, except the most hardcore ones, would pay 200$+ to see them at a festival, or where there cheaper day tickets?

you guys were gonna buy me 21 shots (and arrange for hospital transpo) for my 21st show of 2015 though…. :(
That makes sense. Last time I checked there was no day ticket.
it's not cheap…the new songs blow  :(

however, they'll probably do IN HEAVEN with Frank on vocals (never seen that)

the new album does kinda blow (haven't listened to the whole thing, but what I've heard is lame)
they do play 6-7 of them a night
but they play like 28 songs a night…so I think it's a good deal still

looking for a miracle

I've never even heard the new album and like you said, 25 songs that are classics is good enough for me. I ALMOST bought an extra ticket yesterday but was concerned I'd get stuck with it. Good luck Sidehatch!
sold out now!
Exactly, 6-7 new songs isn't going to change that much the show. It all depends how much you need to see them again (if you're a fan) and if you can afford to see larger bands.

I really don't think the songs are that bad. It's so difficult to live up to that pressure and expectation. Even "Trompe Le Monde" was a BRILLIANT record that people sorta pan because it wasn't "Doolittle" or "Surfer Rosa". "Bossanova" got some crummy reviews…it's a fantastic LP. Black Francis is a genius. I saw him do two solo shows in San Francisco about 5 or 6 years ago and they were polar opposites. But both nights he had Eric Drew Feldman join him on stage and it was some of the best live music I've ever seen. It'll be a fun time if you want it to be.
