That makes no sense at all.  First off I am not throwing stones.  Second I am not under any medications and do not have mental illnesses.
you really should have one or two.  they make great conversational pieces.

They aren't touring under the name "The Ramones" so I don't have a problem with it.
Going to put this here, even if it is not the precise right place:  has anyone ever used the lot across from the club?  I believe it is operated by a nearby restaurant (Wilson's?).  How much do they charge?  Any information is much appreciated.
i did once, before i found out how easy and cheap/free street parking is around the corner

it was $20, but it was a sold out show so maybe that was more than usual.

either way, not worth it at all
I always park for free on the street for 930 shows.  The only time i didnt was the first time I went to the club and I didnt know any better.
I have always used the club's lot (or garages in general when in D.C.) because I am a naive Southern Marylander mystified by the street signs and their various arrows and time frames and their threats of ticketing and towing.

Though it's my recent understanding parking is fine after 6:30 on the street by the side of the club, where the entrance to their lot is.

Been going to 930 since it opened on Vst and never paid for parking.  But, I will remember a great quote from a guy at the old Capital Ballroom about their pay parking vs finding free street parking.

"in here it's Park and Pay out there it's Park and Pray"

I will say with all the new clubs/restaurants close to 9:30….parking is getting a little harder to find, but not impossible.  Metro is right there too…so you can always take that in
i use the side street (i think its 8th st) past the alley the tour buses use. always plenty of free spots there, but i guess it depends on the show and how early you get there.

I believe this is what I'll do versus paying $20 (or more) across the street.

Thanks.  :)
Sort of ironic as it has gotten a lot safer to walk down the back streets near the club the spots seem to be filled up pretty quickly.  When i skip the openers I end paying to park in a lot on 8th street and pay the guy 20 bucks.  I have gotten a ticket on V street at the meters after the time that you don't need to pay anymore.  And I refused to pay.  They put in on my credit report but I wrote to the credit report companies and had it removed.  DC is such a fun place to visit.  I don't know how many time I have gotten bogus parking tickets which I have never paid.

I guess if you have an expensive car with Maryland tags on it they just give you a ticket figuring you will just pay it.  I have never parked anywhere that it wasn't legal to park.
I have a decent car with Maryland tags.  No parking tickets either and I have been going to DC from MD for shows since 2002.  I do check and double check where I park though.

Define Decent.
Accord with all the extras!  (though i do realize there are millions of accords around, and the parking person probably wouldnt go inspect it to see that it has leather and a V6 or care at all)

don't let the secret out…I've parked there easily 50 times and never towed/ticketed

Don't they have signs that tell you not to park there?
