Well, the armed militants said they aren't terrorists. They did say they hate our government, are opposed to our rule of law, and want to change our way of governance, but they're TOTALLY not terrorists.

I'm from Oregon and I agree that it's a weird schizo balance of hippy dippy liberal potheads and lunatic militia conservative idiots. The demarcation line seems to be Interstate 5, which runs through Portland, Eugene and Ashland, all hacky-sack hotbeds. If you head out to Eastern Oregon, it's a sea of rednecks and 'Don't Tread On Me' bumper stickers.

There are more registered Democrats than Republicans in Bend, Oregon, which is quite a ways east of Interstate 5.

Holy shit I feel dumber after watching a video by Alex Jones about Oregon (recommended by a liberal leaning site that I follow) .  I could not watch it all (10 minutes long).  I jumped around and watched enough (prob 5 minutes of it).  He seems to be thinking the Oregon "occupation" is a false flag by Obama to take our guns, I think?  Towards the end of it, he basically tells his followers to hold fast and not take the first shot, cause that is what Obama wants (to take our guns and start a race war, maybe?).  It is all a conspiracy.  The media is in on it.  The government.  And also, the Bundy clan?
