There is not enough $$ in the world to incentivize someone to move to Cumberland.

That's a shorter list than I expected.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_entertainers_who_died_during_a_performance
Including Tiny Tim and the Sandman
And Pedro Henrique
Fatman Scoop

Okay, so… it was a TV show in the US, in the '80s or early '90s. I'm fairly certain it was a sitcom. During the intro/ opening credits, there's a bit where one character is painting a wall or a door, and another character opens the door, and the first character rolls the paint roller over the other person's face. I can see this in my mind, but I cannot for the life of me figure out the show it came from.

The guillotine remained the official method of execution in France until the death penalty was abolished in 1981. The final three guillotinings in France before its abolition were those of child-murderers Christian Ranucci (on 28 July 1976) in Marseille, Jérôme Carrein (on 23 June 1977) in Douai and torturer-murderer Hamida Djandoubi (on 10 September 1977) in Marseille. Djandoubi's death was the last time that the guillotine was used for an execution by any government.
had no idea the Guillotine was used in my lifetime!

despite owning a Disco Sucks t-shirt as a easily influence teenager, I have come to learn not all Disco was of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack variety. Really need to get back to watching the Disco documentary on PBS, because there was plenty of fantastic "underground" disco records at the time. and it's well established the Disco Sucks movement was steeped in homophobia, etc…
