random . . . randomness

Not sure if this should go in the Prestige TV thread, but here goes:

I just wanted to mention that I'm doubly impressed with Andrew Bird.  The fact that he scored a major role on season four of Fargo and that he's actually a good actor.

Doesn't seem like a big ask, but after the last 4 years of a lack of press briefings, it is a breath of fresh air

I didn’t have any feelings about his performance one way or another. Which I guess is a win for an actor?

Just so sick of politics

I have had my fill for a while

It’s because I am not anxious that I don’t need to watch
Texas is screwed because they have their own power grid, to get around federal regulation, etc… basically the rich get richer the poor get the picture

Haven't seen it yet but if the don't use his whistling skills it's a big fail.
They really do raise a special kind of stupid in Texas and this thread proves it

Add this to the Governor blaming the New Green Deal, not even implemented, for a state which gets the vast majority of its power from fossil fuels.

And yes this is once in a century storm for them… but lulz
Hilarious.

The Twitter comments coming out of Texas have been gold. The level of stupidity exposed by the blackouts has been stunning.

I do sympathize with the folks whose water is frozen and electricity has been out. But the blame they throw out is ridiculously far off the mark.
this  cracks me up

Another example of the brilliance of “we have no taxes!” Texas. This is the Texas/Arkansas border. Our state leaders laughed at them when they bought snowplows. So, on the left is the Texas side of the highway, on the right, the Arkansas side.

Texas can't seem to get out of its own way.

Yes, I'm feeling terribly for all the people who loudly and indignantly left the Bay Area for Texas.  Really I am.

This is cool. Gotta admit the Full Room is a little unsettling (thanks COVID!). My dog was definitely fooled by the street noise tho.

I assure you that is far from accurate.
welp, we didn't even make it 100 days before the bombing begins

President Biden’s decision to order a U.S. airstrike on a border crossing used by Iran-backed militia groups in eastern Syria mark the first major military action of the his administration.

I know that action is sometimes needed, but I was hoping that biden would resist this kind of stuff
