Yeah, if staying up will help combat jetlag, absolutely stay up. If not, go to bed early.
Is jetlag a thing when you're flying from Europe to America?
If we stay up, we'll be without a bed to sleep in for about 38 hours until we are home, depending on how late we sleep the previous morning. Unless you count the second, longer flight as a bed to sleep in. My wife can fall asleep anywhere anytime, me and the kid not so much. But we fly back on a Friday, so have the whole weekend to recover.
If the reason for not getting a room is $200 then I say get a room.

Well in all honesty, that probably is the main reason. I guess I'll keep the room for now.

Another option would be to stay out late by attending the first day of the Nos Alive Festival, but they're not live music people, and I'm not a big festival person.

Come on space… don't buy a handful of $27 hazy IPA four packs and get your family a damn room.

It's not really up to me anyway.
And hazy four packs are 20 bucks

Last week I bought a four pack (16 oz cans) of a Fiden's pale ale. $26. I haven't tried it yet.
You need to get a room. I mean what if your flight is delayed?

I bought ONE four pack, not "a handful."

My gut… or your gut tells me you buy them more often than not.

First time for Fidens in VA. Won't be a normal purchase at that price.

That's a good point. If we miss our connection we may be stuck in Madrid for the day. Which wouldn't be a bad thing if we had slept a few hours.
