There is no such thing as a 'rebel' flag.  The flag you are speaking of is the Confederate battle flag.  The actual national flag of the Confederate States of America had several versions, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  Of those the 1st had three variations containing differing numbers of stars as the Confederacy grew.  The 2nd and 3rd national CSA flags did incorporate a smaller version of the battle flag within their design.
