Wait so all this legend stuff, yeah yeah yeah. But a legend and genre pioneer was trafficking cocaine?!?
Did he have to? Am I naive in this? I mean the trailblazers in music are rarely the ones to fully capitalize on the fruits of their labor, but hell.

I can't imagine the member of RUN DMC were making any money off their Legacy
I'm sure they were likely screwed on the original contract

Now I'm not defending selling cocaine, still sucks that he got gunned down.  I don't know any of the details, but I think selling drugs isn't as bad as the GOP would make it to be.  it's supply and demand
not like he was mugging randos for their wallets

we all are not perfect people, why would JMJ be any different

I totally agree. I'm more saddened than anything. It's gotta be tough be a nostalgia act in the hip hop genre.
Not a lot of hazy daze, remember when, glory days kind of tours that I've heard of for the early hip-hoppers ala Styx/Journey double headers. There was no Run's House or crossover opportunities for a DJ whose skillset may have become passe.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make ends meet, or maintain a lifestyle. Shout outs, like exposure don't pay bills.

If the vaccine, came out tomorrow, and they said it was the vaccine, as effective as the flu shot . . . would you immediately take it . . . or would you, wait to see what happens to those who do?

I haven't heard of a single Virginian on this board even install the CovidWise app, what makes you think they'll take the vaccine

I personly wouldn't take it immediately, I'm low risk and so is my immediate family
but if you are high risk the calculus is different

I'd wait until right before any flights i might be taking…earliest possibility is April but more likely late June and/or August.

I feel like I won't be doing anything else that is very risky any time soon and even the flying would be optional.

y'all are kidding yourselves if you think it'll be up to you as to when you can get the vaccine.  front-line workers and at-risk populations are going to be first in line, and the rich and/or connected will jump to the front, hotspots will get it before areas that have it under control, certain insurance providers and healthcare systems will have access to the vaccine before others, etc. 

it'll be months before the average jane-on-the-street will be able to choose when she gets the vaccine.

(can't decide if i think jules will comment with a JA-type ditty, or opine based on his professional insights… the internal battle wages on)
