He's gained 14 pounds in 3 months, primarily by stopping his vegetarian diet and switching to a daily lunch that is grotesque in total calories, calories from fat, and sodium. Braden Holtby is asking for 8 million a year!? I know arbitration usually high/low ball game. But wow. Only Lunqvist is going to be making more than that next year and as much as I hate him, he's fucking earned that. Holts had an amazing season and was left out to dry multiple times on the defensive end, but sheesh.

Long term contracts for goalies are almost always terrible ideas, especially at 6+ million.

I will put $5 on Braden Holtby not being a starting goaltender in the NHL in 5 years. Not because of anything against Braden Holtby, that's just how it goes for goalies.
