The Beer Thread

Why would they come to American when they could just go to Germany? What the heck is the Esquire Channel anyway? Any of y'all going to watch this show?

I've never gone to zwanze day or been to church key.  Trying to figure out when to go, what to expect, cost, and any other details.  Any advice on when to try to avoid the rush and how best get the full experience is greatly appreciated.

I've been twice, it's getting crazy every year.

Show up before the place opens, trust me…

i showed up at 130pm and they still had almost everything.

the beers… man, i don't know. i don't know why people lose their shit for cantillon. i thought their kreik was fantastic, zwanze good, and the iris grand cru average. i'm not sure i'd ever seek them out, but if i saw them on the shelf i'd snag a bottle.
I think we threw away half a glass of Cantillon Kriek when we were in Bruges. Not sure if it was the beer or us being beered out, or a combination of both. Count me as not a fan.

Confession: I drank a Hopslam from 2012 a few weeks ago and it didn't taste all that bad.
confession . . . people obsessed with rare beers, are idiots.  breweries that control peoples minds with their limited release bullshit, can suck my always releasing cock.

I agree with you on that.  Two tiny beers aren't even going to get me buzzed.

People that can't get rare beers tend to not enjoy them.  :o

it won't be bad, it just won't be the same beer.  the hops will have faded a lot and since this beer is all about the hops…

yeah that's definitely not accurate.
Nothing wrong with drinking Fat Tire.  Of the 15 beers the bar next to my office has on tap it is my favorite.
that is what coors wants you to believe.
