Hail, hail to Michigan: the Leaders and (4th) Best!!
I'm going up to Michigan the first weekend in October. If anyone has any beer they want me to find for ya, I'll spend upwards of an hour attempting to do so.
Sounds like someone is gunning for an invite to the next 9:30 Forum Bottle Share!

Good luck at finding a grocery store to but the beer in!

I will respectfully decline that, however, if a MD (non-ABC state) resident would like to facilitate me purchasing scotch at the 30% discount your non-backwards-ass state's liquor policies affords, we can certainly work out something there.

i'm in montana right now, and i wish it's ranking was true.

also, oklahoma being so high solely for prairie is hilarious. they barely distribute to their own state.
I guess they've never heard of Gahndi Bot? Idiots.

39. Connecticut
Not a ton happening here, but Olde Burnside makes a uniquely sessionable Scottish Ale, and also sells longswords on its website.

Alabama ahead of Alaska…really?

Giving a shout out to Shipyard (wtf) but not Maine Beer Company or Oxbow?
My local pub owner contacted me yesterday to inform me that one of my rare beer "likes" – Bells Oracle – had come in. Enjoyed one and even doubled down with a Bell's Mars (although the label's prettiness was nothing to write home about). Both were really good. To my untrained palette, I was stunned the Mars was a DIPA from how smooth it was. A thoroughly enjoyable bi-annual beer drinking foray.
no,bo,dy cares
anyone used one of these…seems like a great way to get a growler to last a few more days

thinking of putting it on my x-mas list as it's $114 for cap/growler

the video is pretty informative: http://www.drinktanks.com/growler-faqs/

seems like a cool gadget, but a damn expensive one.  not sure the ability to enjoy a growler a few extra days is worth that much to me.  then again, i don't drink growlers that often so i'm not the target demographic here…

what he said… if you can't finish a growler in 48 hours, don't buy one! However, atomic's growlers last him up to 20 days.

James Ford's last a while… even sharing with his wife, and in her absence young daughter, you still have to think that drinking a growler at intervals of 4 ounces has to take a while…
that reminds me i have a growler from the mad fox i need to start using again….
Speaking of growlers, OTWOA on draft at DC Brau this Saturday.

Forum meetup?
Has anybody ever been th Tired Hands up near Philly?
I have this growler from the portland growler company
http://i.imgur.com/DXupUG6.jpg

and this one from hydro flask
http://i.imgur.com/pxNlq9n.png

The hydro flask can keep the beer cold all day without needing to be refrigerated. I looked into that drink tanks growler when I was buying the hydro flask, but reviews said the first beer usually came out very foamy. It seems too gimmicky. A growler is easy enough to just pour and I usually finish them the same day.

that's a dang pretty beer vessel right there.

i inherited a Starr Hill growler, identical to this one but with the brewery's logo on it:

i really like the seal that the rubber gasket creates.
