They did back in late December. What's available now is the last of it for the year.
Lagunitas ran into trouble expanding their operation. They had a giant new tank coming from Germany that was damaged in a hurricane on the way over by a crane on the ship.

A new one is on the way but their operations are reduced for a few months. The cool part is the new owners of Anchor are working on a collaborative IPA with them in the mean time.

And if I were limited to only two picks for the entire DC area, I sure wouldn't have used one of them in Bier Baron.
Brouwers Cafe is without a doubt the best beer bar in Seattle and it was left off the list as well.

Haven't even stepped foot in the Bier Baron. Is it basically the Skellar renovated?

To be honest, neither have I ;)
I did read something to the effect of what you said. But if someone can point out some good reasons to go when there's a Pizza Paradiso around the corner, i'm all ears.

That is crazy. That beer is not worth that price at all! It is good though, but not that good.
Finally had Founders Breakfast Stout over the weekend. Tasty.

wasn't canadian breakfast stout selling for $18-20 for a 750 ml bottle, i.e. the equivalent of two regular 12 oz bottles? that makes hopslam a bargain: you're getting 3 times as much for about the same price! ;D
if anyone hears about it on tap anywhere, please let us know. might be the only way i'll end up trying this.

REally? I still think it's a good value when you compare it to comparable double IPA's.
I'm talking about $13 750 bombers of FFF Dreadnaught, $7 500 ml bottles of Pliny the Elder, $20 for a four pack of Founders Devil Dancer……and well, what other double IPA's are really comparable to Hopslam?

yes exactly. won't be buying another one of those at that price!
Other than the big shindig at Churchkey, haven't heard of any keg tappings yet.

C'mon guys. There more good beer in New England than just Smuttynose.
UTICA, N.Y.?The Democratic senators from New York and New Hampshire are betting some of their states' finest craft brews on the outcome of the Super Bowl on Sunday.
If the New England Patriots prevail, New York Sen. Charles Schumer will buy New Hampshire's Smuttynose beer for every member of the Senate. If the New York Giants win, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen must offer her colleagues beer from six New York breweries – Brown's, Brooklyn, Blue Point, Saranac, Captain Lawrence and Ithaca.
Schumer used the occasion of the friendly wager Tuesday to tout his "I Love NY Brew" campaign.
He's pushing to expand New York brewers' market share so that they can grow their business and hire more employees. The industry currently supports nearly 60,000 New York jobs.

amusingly enough while there was a near riot at Churckey yesterday to get Hopslam, its been on tap for 3 days just 4 blocks up the street at Black Cat and still hasn;t kicked yet - guess those hipsters just like PBR
