so i scored a bottle of CBS today, $28.59 with taxes. i've finally caught my white whale - although the wide release and abundant availability make this less of a feat that i had imagined it to be. gonna save the bottle for my birthday in february. interesting factoid: nowhere on the bottle does it say "canadian breakkfast stout"… only CBS.
i also hit up Costco today and snagged 1 Velvet Merkin, 2 B-Bombs and 3 BCBS regulars. by the way, how much did y'all pay for BCBS?

I'm afraid you may be let down after years of hunting and the high availability of pastry stouts these days. It's indeed damn good, but maybe not the perfection it once was, definitely a tad thin but tastes phenomenal IMO.
B-Bomb and BCBS most likely have a better mouth feel than CBS.
Velvet Merkin was pretty mediocre based on my experience last week.
I heard Space is considering a cross country drive to pick up those $8.89 bottles.

I drank a $5 flight that included 2016 and 2017 BCBS, then a $5 8oz pour all at P St WF, then a $7 4oz pour of CBS at Churchkey. All of that helped me to enjoy the kid party later after a lot more.
Anyway, 2016 BCBS was clearly the best of those three for me. Tasted damn fine with a year on it.

Speaking of Founders, Breakfast Stout and Backwoods Bastard moving to year round status. Yay. Someone on BA also mentioned Founders Imperial Stout is not on the 2018 calendar.
Also, have to say that CBS would taste so much better if they put it out in a $25-30 four pack.

Great news.
I'm not big on bombers of high octane beer, either. A pint would be fine, 12oz preferred.

Sorry to disappoint. At this point, it's just wishful thinking on my part!

Oh, I got what you were saying. Happy to hear about the new year-round beers. Shame that bombers are still the only way to go for some high abv beers.

You can only come up with 7 albums, but can name 36 beers? I think we know where your priorities are.

I just got three of these at $8 each. But for a limited time, you can get one of them for $25. Beer scalpers, gotta love them.

I don't drink dopples or witbiers, but I'm sure I could make at least a top five of pilsners.
