Hmm, last weekend before football. I have liked the few beers of theirs I've gotten to try. Depending on price I might go to that.

Space and hutch are most likely going to need to crash on your couch, i hope that's ok.

It does sound pretty neat. But I'll be in Jackson Hole that weekend. Drinking at many Melvin 2x4's as possible. Six ounces at a time.

well thank you..its nice to know that is an option….a place to lay my weary drunken head is always welcome…
I hardly ever make it to Richmond any more.. it has been like 3 years or so…..very strange…since I went to Dylan at the Mosque which was great…. what freaked me out is I went to the Third Street Diner or whatever beforehand and it had changed ownership and was a total shithole.. that place was so great back in the day I have such fond memories…. anyways..it kind of sucked cause i had hyped it up to my friend who I went to the show with..
It is rare that Richmond gets a show that is a must see that I can't see in DC….which is a shame..
I'm headed to Portland, Spokane, Coeur d'Alene and Seattle for the next few days.
They sell the High Life, right?

Agreed, picked up a Stone mix 12 pack there
oh…targay…
Split a crowler of Johann The Mango Thief from Aslin last night…. holy shite, straight up juice… If you like that style of IPA, doesn't get much better!
All Day IPA on a beach in Maine. Can't beat it.

No… much better recommendation than 90 min IPA and Two Hearted.
I may need to crash on your couch with space and hutch for that IPA festie though. I'm thinking:
Lockn Friday night for Phish and Ween (you'd love it) >>>> IPA fest on Friday. I LIKE IT!
Yada wrote:I will pass on Lockn but I have a queen-sized bed in the guest room and the three of you can decide who sleeps in the middle.

Anyone try the Southern Tier Cherry Gose? They call it an Imperial Sour Ale (8.3%)
4 pack acquired. Will give it a try this weekend.

I tried one last weekend… pretty good, not as good as Victory but still tasty nonetheless. I'd prefer it to be about half the abv.

on deck for me tonight: having a first taste og an IPA i bottled last friday. might not be 100% carb'ed by the day demands it. hops: el dorado, pekko, mosaic and equinox. specialty malt: caramel rye. all these ingredients obtained at the national homebrewers conference in baltimore and were free/comp'ed/samples, save for the el dorado (which were 40% less than typical retail).
will also have my first taste of the other half of the batch, a dry-hopped belgian (rye) pale ale bottle conditioned with some weird very raw sugars from mexico. the sugars created a lot of sediment in the bottle. could be great, could be just weird. TBD.

I'll be at the Brewery next week and I'll tell you how it tastes direct from the source
As you all know Southern Tier and Victory are now the same company
so they may be trading notes on the Gose
jez…4:30 pm on a thursday and the Mind The Hop crowlers are already sold out
