The Beer Thread

How many different Sierra Nevada beers have you tasted? Because they do make some seriously good beers.
I heart Miller High Life.  Champagne of beers!

anything by sam smith is overrated.  most things in a phish lot are overrated.  110 degrees is overrated.  when i go to shows and sit in the shade of the lot watching it walk past me . . . i only drink belgium abbey beers such as st. bernadus or a nice version of trappistes rochefort.  if i'm feeling really sassy, i'll have a paulaner.  plus i smoke a ton of pot.

It's beer??

I discovered this over the weekend. very nice. I drank it chilled, not icey or room temp.

*I've been off beer for a number of years so forgive me if this is old news. I switched to red wine because beer was causing stomach problems for a while. Now I can enjoy it in small doses again.

in case you missed it: that was me prodding you for an assessment, appreciation, review, diss, etc of the beverages you mentioned.  anything worth tracking down?

Here is what I tell people; buy a single bottle/can first and be the judge for yourself. I like them all, so that doesn't really help you there.

Does anyone else find the Sam Adams IPA to be totally nasty?

I am no beer expert, but when I do drink, I pretty much only drimk IPAs. And that Latitude 48 has some funky sweetness going on.

i'm not a fan of it either. . .what was worse was the sierra nevada double ipa from the beer camp box.

had the bells oberon (draft and bottle) and pale ale last week in michigan- both were tasty (the oberon draft was the highlight).  also had the ale asylum "hopalicious" which was also good.  oh, and drank a ton of high life……and a leine's summer shandy.
Is that Sierra Nevada's Torpedo that you disliked so much? I happen to like it. I like most of their stuff, actually.
in my opinion . . . sierra nevada bigfoot ale is worst beer i've tasted in a long time.  glissade and summerfest make me hurl in my mouth . . . which sometimes tastes better than the beer itself.

no….sierra put out a 12 pack called "beer camp" and it has 4 varieties in it, including a double ipa (the others are a juniper black, california spring and a bock)…..i didn't much like any of them.  i like the sierra northern and southern hemisphere, and the ovila dubbel…..
and don't ask me why . . . but i am digging
