Clearly I need to follow Ted Lieu as his twitter feed is expert level snark…

Actually,
@HouseGOP
did accomplish some things.
1. Republicans took turns reading the Constitution out loud on the House Floor.
2. They held two hearings complaining about Twitter.
3. Some GOP Members boycotted Bud Light and instead brought other beers from the same company.

This story is so bizarre
https://www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump-jr-urges-right-wingers-to-end-boycott-of-conservative-leaning-bud-lightJunior is like “hey bud lite sucks for what they did, but let’s not cancel them as they give a lot of money to republicans “

I was coming here to discuss the outright violence that has beset the American lager.
wasn't bad enough that all those fancy kids were drinking their IPA's
now we have to deal with automatic weapons and nation-states

I have no idea what you're talking about but I completely agree. Or disagree. I don't know.

The destruction of beer reminds me of the time when Coors was only available in certain parts of the country, there was such a demand for it people were illegally transporting it across states. A load of land it landed in the Grosse Pointes of Michigan and then confiscated by the authorities, who proceeded to steamroll the cans in a local parking lot…
if only the modern bootleggers had only remembered to transport the stuff across the river…

This is what I was thinking too. I think people forget that all of that insanity in the film is based around getting beer to a nascar race on time.

The bad news is the Bruery retail store in Union Market is closing. The good news is:
Rumor has it The Bruery is not done with the DC-area, however. They may be looking at either Alexandria or Arlington for a tasting room, with retail and distribution components as well. We’ll monitor this situation and keep you updated

When I visited their tasting room in Anaheim in Summer 2021. I'll take a Bruery sour any day of the week.

welp not totally dead as they are thinking of reopening somewhere else
New District Brewing Company
After a great run, we are sad to announce that New District Brewing Company will be closing our location in Shirlington at the end of May. While we're still optimistic about reopening in a new location, for the moment we are saying goodbye.

Their pils is the one beer I like of theirs… hopefully it's that offering in a different can.

Astro Lab closing, space taken over by Third Hill. That's surprising, I thought Astro Lab was supposed to be the best of the bunch in Silver Spring.
