Kinda got my question answered
[just four years after dropping $1 billion on craft brewing upstart Ballast Point, Constellation Brands (NYSE:STZ) is selling its record-making prize for an undisclosed sum (read, pennies on the dollar) to tiny operation Kings and Convicts Brewing just outside of Chicago. According to Constellation's most recent quarterly filing, it valued Ballast Point at just $17 million. Yikes.

According to numerous sources, K&C paid somewhere between $50 and $80 million.

so .08 cents on the dollar!
what sucks personally is I was talking with my broker and wanted to get a play on the legal weed market with my investments
unfortunately there aren't that many options in the US market, but he's like 'get STZ they are pouring tons of cash into it'
so while not getting pennies on the dollar, I did 'buy high' ;)

Sorry, I'll edit my comment to reflect that it was a
real brewer.
Which reminds me, last night my favorite bartender at my favorite beer hall down the street from our house had a good laugh about sweetcell. Whilst he was last visiting, I took him there and he tried all kinds of fancy brews and provided his comments to the bartender, who is not the brewer. Our favorite was the fancy beer he had that had too much yeast, he may have even described it as "yeasty" while smacking his lips so every time she brings me my blonde, she asks me about the yeast content. And then we have a good laugh about him…..

Hahahah… Same.
The high density hop charge Mosaic/citra from last week was one of the best hop offerings I've had in a while.

I'm off Friday and going to Richmond Saturday. Between the OH drop, the Bissell Bros drop at Dominion, and potential stops at the Veil and Triple Crossing, I'm also going to have to buy a second fridge (beer space in fridge is still more than half full, mostly with OH.)

The question is, how don't you already have a second fridge?

Only the drink fresh stuff gets put in the fridge. The stuff that's ok to age sits in the basement, sans fridge.
My wife is always saying she's going to buy me a beer fridge but I always say no because we'll end up with more drink fresh beer than we can handle. Limiting to a certain space in one fridge limits purchases and enforces a drinking relatively fresh policy.

I'm a huge fan of beer in cans for many reasons…but I don't particularly love drinking out of them
This looks like a great idea
