The Beer Thread

There must be a few people here who drink something a cut above PBR, no?

What beers are you currently enjoying?

I'm really digging this:

And after a stop at their brewery in Cooperstown, NY, i'm enjoying the mix pack from Ommegang. Especially love the Ommegang Ale.

I've been really loving the Lagunitas beers

I used to enjoy their "Shutdown Ale".  9.7%!
i'm a big fan of this one. . .

Yeah, that's good.  I had that while out in Napa this summer.

I picked up some Stoudts in Rading PA this week and am looking forward to trying it out

Love the hops…my vote for Bells two hearted ale, stone IPA, and the greenflash west coast IPA….but i did hear the the Pliny is  tremendous…btw lagunitas is nice as well
These were all tasty, really liked the Sah'tea, like a chai beer:
Right now, I'm a Post Road Pumpkin Ale Girl.  I also really love the 250th Anniversary Guinness.  Tasty.

Don't believe people when they tell you that the Southern Tier Creme Brulee Stout is good.

I have not had a bad beer yet from Laguinitas.  Anyone else collecting the Frank Zappa brews they make?

3 of my favorites, along with Stone Ruination.  I have been drinking the Dogfish Punkins like water lately.  My go-to recently has been Sierra Nevada Anniversary, mainly b/c of the price.   Also, I always have some of these stouts in the fridge:

Sierra Nevada Harvest Wet Hop and Penn Kaiser Pils.
sleeman's cream ale… damn i miss the stuff.

Kunstmann beer of Chile is one of the best…unfortunately, I don't think you can get it in the US

going into DC9 got me hooked on Troegs

Commonwealth in Columbia Heights has a great cask ale that I drink. It's hands down my favorite beer.

i was at RFD's last night before the AC/DC show, had the Lagunatas A Little Sumpin' Extra! Ale on tap.  mild wheat + perfect hops + hint of pine = DELISH.  http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/220/52077

yup, downed 3 of these babies after work at the Big Hunt yesterday - good stuff
Anyone like Peroni?

Or if you're broke….PBR?

does nothing special for me, it's a light summer-time beer IMO.  tastes better in italy, because everything tastes better there.
