oxygen is the enemy of beer. beer in fermentors, brite tanks, kegs, bottles and cans are in an O2-free enviro. when filling bottles, the bottle is purged with CO2 before being filled. (aside: cans are very rarely flushed first - takes a super-high-end machine to do this - so the beer is exposed to O2 before being sealed. but once sealed, no O2 can get in - vs. bottles that start with almost no O2 but some will eventually creep in because crown caps aren't perfect seals).
as soon as beer is exposed to oxygen, it starts to degrade. during a growler fill the beer is exposed to a lot of O2 so the clock starts ticking as soon as it's filled. 2 or 3 days is the standard answer you'll get for "how soon should i drink it", but the real answer is "as soon as possible, ideally right away."

Dinner is their only must have beer. I think it's brewery only.
Another One is very good. Some people like it better than Lunch, though I don't. The porter and stout….meh.

i'd check it out. based on what i've read, WoB sounds like a chill sports bar with a great beer selection. nice that it's so close to the movie theater, sounds like date night to me.

Kind of had a different beer in mind tonight to pair with what I'm cooking, but realized this would be the perfect beer to serve tonight to the person I was married to 13 years ago today…might have to drink more than six ounces of beer on a Tues.

WoB, mellow mushroom, downtown crown… has craft beer become so mainstream that even
rockville is developing a scene?!? all welcome new for me!

MM strikes me as the Mickey-D's of craft beer:
bright colors, all plastic, chintzy, very family friendly, loud. i look forward to taking my little tykes there some day for 'za and a brew (for me), but doesn't strike me as a place that i would hang out at on my own or with buddies - unless maybe they had something amazing on tap, but MM never posts their draft list online which is a big minus for me. sounds like they
had a few issues on opening day. i'll give the place a try but expectations are low.

we've stopped in there a few times, we live down Norbeck (towards R'ville). love the sandwiches. wish they had more than 4 taps, but at least they always have 4 good choices. never been there at night.

The Veil - Master Shredder
Have enjoyed a few cans of this over past couple of weeks. What a delicious beverage.
Light, tropical, lil' juicy… and only 5.5%. I also hope to get to this brewery by 2019.
