Yup, saw that post about their DIPA's running low. I was planning on calling ahead and seeing what was left.
Dominion also has Mind the Hop for growler fills now, but that may be gone by the time i can get there (tomorrow morning). I'd prefer to go the flight/pint route at the brewery though.

trust me I'm not running out there to get a fill either
but 7-10 for a tulip is pretty standard (still freaking expensive tho)
Wasn't looking at the growler pricing
but I will say that the Ocelot Talking Backwards $20 fill is quite a good deal per oz

Do you know anywhere inside the beltway that does growler fills of TB?

Negative… a few bars had/have it on tap.

Just because $7-$10 may be standard for a tulip at a Greg Engert establishment in a trendy spot in DC doesn't mean it should be that price at a warehouse in Loudoun County.

I love Ocelot…I go there all the time. I finally hit up Adroit Theory recently as well. That place is pretty cool too.

Have you tried Victory Prima Pils or Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager? Seems like they might be up your alley.

Space, I saw Aslin posting about their DIPAs running low the other day, i'm guessing they won't be around Sunday (unless they brewed another one).
Indeed the Aslin IPA's were gone by Sunday, we did not go.
I did get a growler of Aslin's Mind the Hops at Dominion on Saturday. I thought it was fantastic, perhaps the best DMV made beer I've had. My wife was a bit underwhelmed…I think she's just more of a fan of the dank West Coast IPA style than she is the juicy New England style.

Jesus… I've been trying to cut out drinking during the week a bit due to this chart right here. My god.

Um, that chart seems to contradict the examples. A 6oz pour of a 15% ABV beer is listed at 225. Unless that The Bruery's Barrel Aged Imperial Stout is 40% ABV, their graphic is wrong that 6oz of it is 500 calories.

I saw that list previously and all i have to say is they need to drop the lottery system and get more selective.

I'll just continue to cut out Starbucks, Oreos, and McDonalds. On weekends, too. And start training for another marathon.
