Soft Sales are back! And almost immediately following Sugartastic's mentioning of them in this thread.

as the New Oracle™ 'round here, i like to think that they came back after i asked in the FAQ ;D
claim whatcha like, Neo, but azag and then I asked in ticketfly thread well before. thanks for the post in faq though, anything helps…esp. since my add'l request to Seth was lost in other commentary.

Conan at the 9:30 Club would immediately re-establish any possible hipster cred he may have lost recently.

I was also going to ask for Conan - please, Seth?
(NOT saying I want to see them, but for example, the cast of Glee is touring and they boast a five city tour - skipping DC. Same happened w/ the NIN shows. Please start a trend and push DC for special shows?!)
So, yes, please push DC on Conan - he's booking shows in the west but would love to see him at the club. It would be a lovely, intimate place for him!!
Did I already ask for MGMT? Perhaps in b/w or around the two shows below? A special show just for us (as you did with Bloc Party).
May 2 2010  Bamboozle East Rutherford, New Jersey
May 31 2010 Sasquatch Festival George, Washington

New album out 4/13 and they are doing some special mobile events - but I'm not exactly sure what that includes.
It looks as though the smallest venue Pavement are playing in the US so far is The Tabernacle (2600).

Sadly, it'll probably have to be DAR or nothing.

Or like 3-4 nights at the club?

Edit: Untrue. Uptown Theatre in KC holds 1700.

But Kansas City probably contains a smaller Pavement fanbase than DC.
Don't sell your wish short. ;) Bob Dylan played the club one night, Pavement can too. (two nights would at least would be good though:))

Bob Dylan actually has played the 930 at least 3 nights…

Back about 1998 or so he played there two nights… great shows.
Roky Erickson backed by Okkervil River are doing some dates.  A DC date would be very cool…

Looking at those dates and locations, where exactly would you propose that Seth squeeze them in?

Me too.  I keep hoping to see a dc show date…
Any chance of booking some salsa? How about living legend Larry Harlow? He'd be great…He's doing some interesting stuff this summer up in NYC including performing the album La Raza Latina with Ruben Blades, etc…

Have your minions at least look into it please! I've written bout it before but 930 could really book more latin shows no? I mean there is a sizable latino community here and I think its underserved by the concert offerings

PM me if you'd like some good ideas on this
dear seth: please book these latino acts at DAR ;D

Hey Seth,
Jakob Dylan is set to release a new solo album on Apr. 6. Tour dates may be in the works…if so, can you please grab him and bring him back to the club? I've missed the two times he has been to the club. Would love the opportunity to see him at the club. Thanks!

Seth, almost got my wish….Can he also come to 930 [in addition to RHL], please? 930 is more intimate and RHL is a trek mid-week. Thanks! (and he is w/ Neko.:))

*edit* It would help if I read the email blast first. Well, thank you, Seth for granting my detailed wish (and squeezing him into a busy 930).
She did it again!
