We were rather crushed over Michael Bolton

Babasonicos is the one that really hurts!

I stil think, regardless, that Seth's Boltonesque reply merits a "POW!"

;D

Also, 930 is just going younger and more indie.. thats been apparent for a while… even pre-Howard..thats the direction their 930 booking is heading.. they're not going to get into bidding wars with Fillmore, Howard or whoever…which is actually probably a good thing otherwise we'd be seeing a whole hell of a lot more $50+ shows being put on at the 930.
and i am not attacking seth in anyway.

he knows i think he's a sex kitten.

but . . . somehow i always thought the club and him would rule dc, hell even run it one day.

i can see . . . mayor seth.
We would not have booked Michael Bolton at 930

Didn't have the date Sinead wanted

Just played Mos Def

And then…it's ok if we don't do everything…we'll eat

Competition is normal and healthy…gives people variety which can help everyone to appreciate who we are

No problem with the Howard really…sounds like they did a nice job

I'd vote for that.

Seconded - They blew the doors off the place on the Intimacy tour and were really good the first time through.. not so much at the DAR show.

Throwing it out there, I'd love to see a decently priced 'Surprise at the Club' with Missy Elliott.  She was supposed to put out her new album a bunch of times in the past 2 years, but still hasn't done anything.

Or could you bring Kelis back for a one off?

Ugh, nevermind that its 4/1.
How about a Rancid date at the club?

They're playing two shows in Boston and one in NYC with nothing before or after…

Per this thread Seth snagged them right before they headed back to the UK (couple yrs ago). Only US venue they played after a festival before heading back. Very appreciated. Also, fun show, crowd. Hope to see them again - you are right the club has the element for them.
Thanks for Marina and the Diamonds!

Yep, the Thursday before Halloween weekend.
