Hey Seth

I agree with people about Leonard Cohen at a theatre in DC and same with Nick Cave (if you can't book Mr. Cave for two nights at the club - let's face it, one night just isn't enough ticket wise)

By the way, I recently bought my B-52s ticket. I just want to say thank you for getting them to play the club! They've been one of my favorite bands since I was in second grade and have yet to see them live. To say the least, I'm pretty damn excited about April 26th.
This is a longshot, but Kylie Minogue booked anywhere in the area. Would love to see her at 9:30, but anywhere will do. Her new cd is amazing.

I absolutely second this!!!
For those of us several years past wanting to mosh in the hot sun, how about creating a Pitchfork style "indie" music fest around the time of CMJ?
Finally a decent Moby record…maybe he'll actually dig out stuff like "Ah-Ah" and "Move" for a tour. Any chance for a show at the club?
How about bringing Love and Rockets to town?

the only redeeming part of the last show (i think this was the last one) at the club was taking audience requests for (partial) covers at the end of the show since it was the last show of the tour.
You mean the one a few years ago for the "Hotel" tour? Or the "Animal Rights" tour when they started doing all of the cover songs and Pablo the percussionist destroyed the keyboard with his bongos? That was a pretty awesome show.
The Feelies are reuniting!! Hey Seth, any chance for a show? That would be a phenomenal show.
How about adding the Feelies to the Lou Reed show, if indeed Melt Banana is off the bill.
Of course, I am in for a Feelies show alone is they can still fill the club.

i was referring to the "animal rights" tour (10+ years ago now, i guess – wasn't aware he'd played the club since) when he somehow managed to make all of the "electronic"-based songs to sound EXACTLY the same.

if it hadn't been for the covers, i would have left completely pissed off.
Woo hoo! Dated sound played by aging grayhairs. Woo hoo!

Brian

They played the Ottobar not too long ago. I was hoping for a Black Cat show but alas it never came.

But yes, I second Crystal Castles.

Just go to Pitchfork… aren't you in Chicago bunches anyway?
Normally…but I just happen to be on vacation that time.

Besides, stop nay-saying my wish list!

Any chance we can get another !!! date at the club? They just announced dates in July and August, but no DC.
How about The Feelies and Mission of Burma in a double headliner. Very different bands but very similar audiences.
