Hey Seth

As mentioned on Just Announced, Kylie Minogue.

Seth, I asked months ago for this, and it could actually happen, if you can pull a DC show for her at a small to midsize venue I will forever be greatful.

Thirded!

I know I've said something in the past about Kylie. Well, it looks like she's coming to America in late September/Early October. All I can say is please get her to play in DC.
Over in the NYC thread someone there was mention of a Jarvis Cocker show.

Any chance of seeing him here?
Seth, If Weezer can break away from the Blink and Fall Out Boy tour - can you grab them for a Weezer ONLY show at 930 pleaaaasse? Thank you.

I'll ditto that.
big fat YES PLEASE on the silversun pickups.  thanks!
Hey Seth-
Ignore all other requests in this thread (unless they relate to a second Jesus Lizard show), and instead let me know if I should bite the bullet and buy a ticket to see MBV in Richmond, or if you're going to help us out and book a show in DC.  I wont' be mad at you if they're not coming, but it would be nice to know if I should man up for that drive.

Thanks-
NKOTB
i thought the Richmond show is billed as the only show in the Mid-Atlantic?  ;D

Is DC really mid-Atlantic though?
Either way, wasn't the first announced Pumpkins reunion show billed as their first US date, only to have another one booked before it?  Not calling the concert promoters in Richmond liars, but billing something as the only mid-Atlantic show wouldn't certainly sell a lot of tickets in a farther region, especially if no other one was announced yet…

Great fact finding:

There are differing interpretations as to the actual composition of the Mid-Atlantic. Sometimes, the nucleus is considered to consist of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia, with additional states possibly included.[5] Other sources consider New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey to be the core Mid-Atlantic states, with others sometimes included.[6] For example, since the 1910 census, the Mid-Atlantic Census Division has included New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, which combined with the New England Division, comprised the Northeast Census Region.[7]

OK, my idea of Mid-Atlantic was more centered around VA and NC, but I stand corrected.
Looks like Placebo is open to touring the US in October… would love to see them at the Club instead of a festival arrangement like when they toured with Linkin Park.
I dont think The National's idea of "midatlantic" stretches very far north, because MBV is also doing APW which is upstate NJ/NYC.
I'm willing to bet there are many people in NYC who would refuse to refer to themselves as being part of the "mid-Atlantic".

And being a resident of the mid-Atlantic, I don't have a problem with not counting NJ as part of my region.
