Hey Seth

David Gilmour is touring the USA next year…
Hey Seth, I see the Hum show is listed as "Failure & Hum". Is this a co-headline where both bands play a full set or will Hum be playing an opener-length set? I will be buying tickets regardless, just wondering. Thanks.
^sounds like a better question for FAQ

Fair enough.

Yep. (Although I prefer Downward Is Heavenward.)

EDIT: 9/18 @ Slims with MINERAL if you're also a fan.

I didn't even know they were still together.  Thanks!

They do reunions every few summers. Usually just one-off shows near Chicago. They appear to actually be looking to returning to actual "touring" for the first time this year though.
It is a co-headlining gig from all i've seen.  That being said, Hum > Failure.  If it comes down to an issue of who gets more time, i'm sure Seth will do the right thing.  Right?
Surely you can convince Idlewild to add DC to their October tour
I, blame you.
Seth, think you can get Blur to come any closer than this?

10-23 New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden

I can't fathom they'd need a venue like Verizon in DC…last time they played here was at the 9:30. That's something that would probably fill the new venue going into the SW Waterfront. Or Echostage.

One of my top 5 concerts all-time. Then again, I absolutely love Think Tank.

The best Blur shows I saw were with Pulp in 1994, at the Capitol Ballroom in 1996, and then the 9:30 show. That was definitely a special night. And they played a lot of old stuff besides the Think Tank material. They even did "Popscene" and "For Tomorrow".

Yes they did, Popscene was a total treat. I think they closed the mainset with The Universal (one of my two favorite Blur songs) and the encore with This Is A Low (my other favorite Blur song).

EDIT: Looked up the setlist-

Ambulance
Beetlebum
Girls & Boys
Gene By Gene
For Tomorrow
Good Song
Moroccan Peoples Revolutionary Bowls Club
Tender
Caravan
Out of Time
Crazy Beat
Brothers and Sisters
To the End
Song 2
Trimm Trabb
Battery in Your Leg
The Universal
Encore:
Popscene
On the Way to the Club
We've Got a File on You
This Is a Low

So good. I was like one person off the rail. Damon stage dove right on me.

I second this opinion! PLEASE :)
I've seen numbers from 2,000 to 6,000 for Echostage's capacity. What is the capacity according to the fire marshal?
Steve Earle is free before Interlocken…
New Order is dropping a new album in September…
