Hey Seth

How about listed prices  ;)
Are you guys gonna make a calendar of the events Uhall's presenting at the Backbar? I see you guys have stuff listed you're doing at Uhall and they do too. Just a thought!

Can you squeeze an Adam Ant show in between NY and Chicago?

Seconded.
I'm not sure exactly what their email announcements say as they are written in French, but it appears Air has a new album..I believe they will be touring…Please bring them back to the club por favor? (one of the better acts / shows at 930 ever!)
It seems as though The Magnetic Fields are booking a tour around SXSW. Please don't make me go up to NYC!
Portlandia….
:D

Pretty sure they provided the music for a film to screen at Cannes. I guess they'll be ramping up their appearances and such.
Thank you for Magnetic Fields!

seconded!  are you going to pipe in sounds of old ladies shushing over the PA, or just put up passive aggressive signs to stay quiet?

There gonna serve Birchmere food.
Tool is touring in January/February. They have an open slot on the 2nd and a TBA on the 3rd when they're traveling between NJ and NC. Anything you can do? None of the big venues (i.e, Patriot Center, D.A.R, 1st Mariner, Verizon Center) have anything booked.
If you do book Tool, you should have a stipulation in their contract saying that if MJK wants to push his (probably horrendous) wine, IMP gets a cut of the profits from here on out.
Was probably only a one off but Pussy Galore?

I woudl check that out
or how about the Blues Explosion..cannot believe they did not play DC on their last tour (they played Baltimore in April).. given how many times they've played the 930 (Old and new) it was strange..

they were phenomenal at the Ottobar.

happy holidays Seth!
Hey Seth

Kraftwerk and New Order are both playing Ultra down in Miami in March, any chance we could get them at the club?
Is Florian working with Kraftwerk again? Can it honestly be called Kraftwerk without him?

I probably would go just to scratch them off the list anyway.

I want to see a DC/Baltimore/VA noise showcase at the club. Not sure if something like that would be a significant draw but it would be a hell of a lot of fun. It could also be thrown together quickly.

This is nice Seth, but i think most people want to know when you're going to have Alabama Shakes back.

Sweet Second Chances
Some of the best parts about last week's three Drive-By Truckers shows were the excellent openers that kicked off each night.  All three nights were sold out, so you may have missed out on Lucero opening the Thursday show and J Roddy Walston and The Business opening the Friday show.  In a delightful turn of events, both bands will swing by 9:30 Club this April, delivering their punk, country, and blues-fueled rock to us once again.  Chances are these tickets won't be around long either, so nab them before you miss this raucous roadshow.
