The fact that a band is playing your venue does not entitle them to come and conduct commerce on your property
What if they decided to try and sell groceries, or rabbits, or whatever they’d like because “people wouldn’t be here if we weren’t playing”
People wouldn’t be there if we didn’t build the venue either
We’re all in this together…all of the income streams like merch and bar and ticket fees go towards paying the band
I have always found that people accusing others of trying to make money are only upset because they want that money themselves

I guess I'll be buying my merch directly from band website when possible. Would rather give the band 100% of the profits since their ability to make make a living seems to decrease as times go on. I'm looking at the big picture and the health of touring bands, rather than padding the bottom line for big businesses like TM, Live Nation, and the champion of the little guy, It's My Party.
best to buy t shirts on the sidewalk down the street from the venue
Oh no I bought a Luna shirt at the Luna merch stand at the show! Should I return it? Is it returnable? Lady seemed happy to sell me it (even complimented me in my top hat and I think she meant it!). Did I fuck them over?? It was $25 for a shirt that probably cost $3 but am feeling real guilty here…. I am really close up front..Is Dean going to spend the show glaring at me??!? Should I leave?
HELP ME!!
HELP ME!!
I tried to return shirt and things got ugly guys…I got ejected by merch lady…I pleaded I was trying to do right thing…even offered to pay an extra $5
All to no avail
Thanks a lot guys WTF

Shouldn't you be watching a show?

I got kicked out trying to return shirt….lady at merch thought I was a lunatic arguing about band losing 20%

Hey Seth
Sign outside Atlantis says "food food."
But there's no food?
Even, like, a granola bar or something could go a long way…
Thanks for listening. Or reading. I think.
