Hey Seth

oh… in that case i was a dick, and i apologize. yeah, SY are influential. relatively speaking.
why are people asking for sonic youth at the club? they toured for "rather ripped" already (two legs)…you can't just ask for it if there's no justification. what are ya? a spoiled brat? …
hey seth -

have a good 4th of july?
do Sonic Youth sing that song "Get into the Groove" that Madonna did a cover of?
Smashing Pumpkins in August for their club tour, pls.

Or no chance since you got them last year?
to the person who said "deal with it":

NO YOU deal with it! sonic youth have played the 930 club too many times for anyone to get too excited about them playing it yet again particularly considering they don't even have a new album…

not sure how much they sell but considering most bands sell out the 930 club 90% full is not that great.
Even with a new album I doubt "excited" would be the word. Not saying I wouldn't go, but unless the follow-up was in the same league as Murray Street, I wouldn't say I'd be excited.

Maybe if they were playing Sister from start to finish, though…

I heard that new Smashing Pumpkins tour is very expensive.
Hey Seth

Did you enjoy Bobby's Crabcakes? What'd you have?

Its the problem with bands that have such a deep catalogue. If they were going to tour with no new material…wouldnt it be cool to announce a classics tour with all pre-2000 material perhaps?

I would go see them every Friday night if i thought that they were pulling from every album.

will they ever play Junkie's Promise again?
Actually, they do normally pull some pretty deep cuts on each tour. I think the last time I saw them play the entirety of a new album was the Thousand Leaves tour. Not so great considering the album isn't stellar, but at least they closed with Death Valley '69.

James at the club in September would be ace… This request comes from on high as Kosmette would be VERY happy to see them live. She's a bit weary from all her UK friends telling her how great they are live….
That sounds more like a State Theater show.

One of the best live shows I've ever seen.
